The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
So I was over on FF.net looking for some more Rogan stories and I found this one over there. I remembered it and noticed that you had more chapters posted but it's not finished yet. I realize it been a long time since you posted a new chapter. Is there any chance that you will come back to it? I really enjoyed it and would like to know how it ends.
Love the suspense. Reminds me of another Wolverine story where he kills a senator in Wolverine #162, one of my fav arcs; did it serve as killer inspiration?
Hmmm, might Shield find him and take him in? Just a thought, can't wait for the next part. Keep up the good work.
Author's Response: Haven't any plans for SHIELD to appear in this story - sorry! And no, your fav story arc didn't serve as inspiration - in fact I'd forgotten all about it so I must get the comic collection out and check it out again! Glad to hear you like the suspense - it will be hitting killer levels in the next couple of chapters!!
That's what I'm talking about!!!! Poor wolvie! Always having to make sacrifices. Awesomely written chapter by the way and finally the x-men have solved the mystery of the fake adamantium skeleton!! Keep uploading and I will definately keep reading! You are one of my favorite authors and I always enjoy hearing from you!
Author's Response: Yep, it just needed a prod in the right direction for Beast to realise that Wolvie isn't dead! Thanks for reading and reviewing and watch out for the next chapter - it's a full-on adrenalin-fueled bumpy ride!
So, I get this update while I'm waiting for my daughter's school bus to arrive, and I stupidly think I can do it justice while reading it on my tiny iphone. From the first few sentences, I knew that I was going to be transported. So, impatient though I am, I very calmly retrieved my child, made her lunch, and once she was safely placed on the sofa to watch her Yo Gabba, Gabba, I sat down to read your latest installment.
I don't even know how to begin. I couldn't very well cut and paste the entire content of your latest Chapter, but in all honesty, each and every single word was perfection. It is gobsmacking how you are able to immerse yourself so completely into your imagination that you can describe what you see in such a masterful, thorough manner. I envisioned everything with such clarity! The inner dialogue, the interactions with the guard, Frost and even Control, the setting of the home and its inhabitants - just, well...masterful. That's the best word for it.
I am so glad you have reposted you story, it's incredible. I am constantly amazed by the quality of writing I find on this site, and you my dear, set the bar with this new addition.
Thanks so much for this :)
Author's Response: When I first opened the reviews page and saw the length of your review I thought "Oh oh, what have I done now?" Because past experiences have proved that I usually only get long reviews when someone has a bone to pick with something I've written. However, having now read your enthusiastic words I find myself humbled and more than a tad excited by how much enjoyment you got out of the latest chapter. I won't say the words come easy, because they don't, and sometimes I sit for hours with my pen in hand just trying to think of a single word to describe a particular feeling. However, Wolverine is so much a part of me - (I've been reading his adventures in the comics since I was eight years old) - that I often feel I know him better than he knows himself and when I am writing for him I seem to 'plug' into his mindset, thus enabling his particular way of looking at things to come forward. Crazy, I know, but there it is! I am so pleased you are enjoying the story so far. I am enjoying writing it and it's a huge relief and an encouragement to know that I am actually producing something that my readers deem worthy of their time. Thank you so much for your kind words! I hope I can continue to earn your praise and encouragement!!
