'We’re not built to stand on our own. All we have had was borrowed, and it got taken away far too early.'
great way to point out the downside of a longer life. you really hit the emotion button with this one. stunning last line - great stuff!
Great to see that issue addressed - I've always thought that Forever Young must be a lonely occupation all right.
And the more ones thinks about it, the closer one comes to realizing just how alone we all are in our lives. And how frail and precious the few people are who link us with the world.
Author's Response: I have been thinking about Logan's mental problems, the ones coming from comics, the ones from the movies and those what we throw upon him. How much of them actually come from his mutation (Wolverine) and experiments performed on him, and how badly he's messed up just because he's so old. Don't have knowledge about his origins, mostly because of the almost complete lack of interest in comicverse, but if I have understood correctly, at least in those he's several hundred years old, and one of the sub-plots in this one is to see what aging does to their (both Marie and Logan) minds.
Ok living as long as they do can't always be fun.
Each one of the updates is getting better and better! I love this!!!!
Such intensity, and he handles it with total calm. Wonderful job!
