The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
So sad, yet so beautiful. I'm very glad there's more to come.
*CT scurries off to read the next installment*
Simply amazing. I especially loved this part: 'He was tired of having them walk away from him, choosing to return to a world where the colors were muted and melted and lovers were less wild. He started walking away while it was still good if he had any reason to suspect they wouldn’t last.'
Wonderfully put in my opinion :-)
OMG, that was just...lovely! So perfect in capturing that moment when the shift happens and then HAVING to have *the talk*. I swear, those are the WORST 4 words in every language on this earth - "we have to talk".....thank you for making them GOOD words in this fic!!
Love Love LOVE the subtle inclusion of The Eagles, their songs do indeed play into your storyline beautifully!
OOOooooooohhhh!! That's a helluva place to leave us!!!
"And then there it was, staring her in the face with all the glaring brightness of an epiphany...." LOVED this entire paragraph! Yeah, sometimes it just hits you like that, you captured it wonderfully, M!
I love that he's FINALLY seeing that what he felt for Jean wasn't the be-all-end-all love he thought. Maybe now that he's gotten his head out of the sand, he'll make his move toward his REAL soul-mate. Great chapter.
P.S. I'll admit it; I have NO idea who Deirdre is.
Im so glad I read this story. It was beautiful and it made sense as far as Rogan being together in a romantic sense. Love your writing :)
I've read this series several times, and I always enjoy it. I especially appreciate how Rogue and Logan start to realize that they're already so much better suited for a romantic love relationship than the other relationships they've had. I think you do a great job of describing what I feel to be the best type of love-- the one that gives support, encouragement, strength. The kind that makes you a stronger, more peaceful person. We over-value the firey romance these days and forget that the deepest, longest, most life-giving loves include passion but aren't restricted or even entirely defined by it. Ok, here endeth the monologue. Great job with this series, the characterizations, the situations, the everything.
Loved this so much. I could really feel the closeness between them. Beautiful. :)
"How she trusted him, how she respected him even when they disagreed, the way she was confident in who he was and what he was capable of without having any illusions about him."
Which is the true nature of love, of course. How very clever you are.
Lovely. This wll doubtlessly provide me with a small smile for the rest of the afternoon.
Funny enough I read this before, having no idea tht it was part of a series. Now, in context, I enjoy it even more. *smiles*
"
She wondered if the gentle confidence she had in him, the amber glow around the edges of her heart when she thought about him, the unconscious solidarity that made her turn to him when her world quaked on its axis might constitute love of a different kind… and if it might be worth a try."
So beautiful - nearly poetic. I adore this, I really do.
Strangely comforting, and very, very beautiful. Bravo!
oooo, very very intriguing.
Your writing style was excellent!
:)
I really liked this one, realization that neither has what they need and that what they do have is not enough. loved the simplicity in your description of the trust between them and the ending was perfect. well done x
I enjoyed this story, but have a question...what was the pewter charm Logan bought at the gas station, and what happened to it? Was it something for Marie, and he didn't give it to her, or was it just a throwaway detail that got lost?
This whole series is fantastic. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up. I really like your writing style, you have a natural knack for telling a story. Your descriptions are great without being overwhelming and the plot had just the right amount of angst. Great!
