The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
Never heard of the story, never heard of Baba, gotta to look it up now if it spawned this beauty of a story! Loved it, the skull at the end was a creepy surprised and Logan's "th' feelings mutual" was spot on HIM!
Wooooooowwwwwwwwwwww
I couldn't even pause for a SECOND to review the chapters individually. SO powerful, SO gut wrenching, SO heartfelt....other than that I'm pretty much left speechless by this. Another amazing story Joanne, I'm blown away.
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed it honey, I'm back for a while but I've done lots on the sister site too plus a blog full of Logan porn at www.sheffielderoticwriters.wordpress.com. Spread the word if you like but it's a personal invite to go and have a few pervy moments ;-)
Jo, I've never heard this tale before but no matter what, I love your version. Excellent work
Thanks so much for this; it is truly great writing. Although some parts of it made me squirm, shake my head and want to throw my laptop through the window, I'd eventually see that all the horrific stuff was necessary to the story. You've made me see a side of Logan that is very rarely seen in fanfiction. Usually, he's the protector, or the lover or the joke-ster. Once in awhile he'll go berserk, but never when it comes to Marie. With this story you've blended almost all of those sides of him (though the joke-ster is missing; he'd be out of place here). I truly got caught up in this story and I'm sure that it will haunt me. Thank you for sharing it.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for commenting on this, I'm finally back for a while on here and I'm returning the ompliments given, I know there are parts you wanted to scream at me and shout but the thing is it was needed, they both needed it and finally got what they needed.
This made my stomach drop to my feet. I know Logan has to be cruel, but I could barely read this; and yet I couldn't stop, either. The thought did flit across my mind that Logan had just slice Remy because he'd raped Marie, and then he kind of raped her himself, too (didn't he?). I know what he was trying to do, but still--
This was brilliantly written and you are the angst-queen, but I'm kind of glad this chapter's done!
Wow. This. Is. AMAZING.
I loved the Marie-as-Jubilee section. You have them both spot on. I kind of feel bad for Marie that Jubes let the cat so completely out of the bag, but I know Marie would have never told Logan how she felt about him on her own, so that was a good way to handle that situation. :)
Oh God! Not Jubes. I want to cry!!
This is so well done though, I can't stop reading.
R.I.P Jubilee!
Loved this!! Love Katherine! A great OC!!!
WONDERFUL!!! Great story! Very well written, I enjoyed it immensely! Sort of wished you'd have left that damn Cajun for Logan to take care of, but Mag's hands are pretty good too.
Dark and intense yet passionate in a beasty way! Loved it!
"I'm here Marie an I'll never let ya fall, neither of us will." definite Ahh factor!! Followed up by deep and insightful;-
"Being human isn't easy, but then again being an honest beast in a world of human liars isn't either. Maybe now they wouldn't feel so alone anymore, they had each other, a mirror to the world in each of them." Absolutely wonderful ending.
Damn good story well done x
Author's Response: Thanks Litlen, I did struggle to find an ending for this one, one that wasn't the usual 'Logan takes Marie away to remote place' type thing. The original story is about suffering and sticking to what path you take, yes Marie is broken, yes it's partly Logan's fault. But together they *can* win, understanding everything about someone is hard and it takes time, Marie just got overloaded and thankfully he loved her enough to come back.rnrnGlad you enjoyed the ride honey.
Damn... what a story!
Really good!
Author's Response: *takes bow* Thank you for saying so, glad you enjoyed the tale!
Please...update soon....will Logan kill Remy...I hope so...he deserves it....what pain wolverine is feeling...really dark and sexy at the same time...I love it.......
Author's Response: Updated and finished now, go enjoy!
Uh well... uhm... well... *speechless*
What a bastard Remy is, Logan should of stabbed him in the crotch. I'm looking forward to where this is going.
Ohoh this got a very dark feeling to it... I already love it ;)
And for Rogue trying to kill Remy... I'd have tried it too.
more please
If you just could have got Katherine to bang their heads together in the beginning - but then again we wouldn't have had a wonderful story to read! Loved how simple it was for them in the end. great job again well done x
Author's Response: Thanks honey, Katherine leaves folk to do it at their own pace even if it'd be easier to push them (a lesson I've hard learned myself), it is simple when you finally drop all the rest of the stuff in your head and really see things as they *truely* are. Marie never looked into his mind in hers and Logan never asked her or talked to her about how he felt, once they did the rest was simple. Glad you had fun honey, thanks for commenting, hugs Jo.
I like your choice of fairytales.
More please ^-^
Author's Response: There will be bima, there will be, I'm thinking a take on Beauty and The Beast or original Snow White or Cinderella (The Fur Slipper). Keep an eye on the posting board, there might be one soon. Thanks for commenting hon, hugs Jo.
How wonderful! Aside from the visual you paint, the story is a hell of a ride!
Author's Response: Just like the orignial story, 'The True Bride', she goes through hell for her man but I think I shared out the pain on this one, especially with 'Engagement'. He never asked her anything, Logan just assumed and he paid for it, well they both did. Glad you enjoyed it honey. There will be more coming. Hugs Jo.
Brillant a happy ending. Great story, I love it, and I'm still loving Katherine.
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed those Vickie, it was all about the perception of themselves, the way they drifted through and the defining moments of the dresses. Glad your enjoying Katherine, she's easy to love but hard to write. Hugs Jo.
Ok this time it's poor Logan.
Poor Rogue I felt like smacking Logan there.
Dark creepy and with a perfect happy end.
Love it!
Author's Response: Just as a fairy tale should be! Thanks for reading and commenting hon.
Loved it! I reecognized Baba right away, but the skull/torch thing at the end was a surprise. A dark, delicious romp through a snowy forest. Loved it (yet again!).
Author's Response: Glad you liked it Wolf, it's one of my favourites the simplicity of the task she has to do just be faithful in her heart to get out alive. The original tale is very dark but then it's Russian so its to be expected LOL!. Thanks honey, hug.
loved it!
I'm a big fan of the Baba Yaga story and I was really curious of how you were going to fit it in with Logan and Marie. It was really great though, and I especially loved the ending. It's so Logan to say "Feelings mutual" lol
Author's Response: I tried to make the tale easy to read, the structure was already there, all it needed was a little cross with the X-Men universe and what better than a rescue (just like the original tale with the ungrateful family who try to kill Vassily). Yeah it is isn't it, Logan's a man of few words so when he does say something you listen to it, glad you enjoyed it honey, thank you for reviewing it is appreciated, hugs Jo.
Yup me enjoyed very much!
But that last paragraph screams for a sequel ^_^
