As a member of the 'Yeah, Iceman is kinda cool' *ducks* O.O erm.. group. I would like to say this is a refreshing take on him, he is very much the hero of this story. Marie is one lucky little lady, aside from her husband dying of cancer, of course. Two men are comppletely love her and all but whorship her, two men who shouldn't be! (By that I mean Bobby being gay and Logan being loner/emotional unstable) But I feel so bad for Logan. He's just five minutes late for each bus stop, isn't he? The ending also feels, that, well, things will not be going well for those two in the future. Like they'll be together but just because they feel like they should. Anywho! It was depressing but very good and different.
Look forward to more War! *cough*AlteredVision*coughcough* O:)

And thanks for the fb. Hmm... I have been toying with the idea of the epilogue. I don't see their future as grim as you do, so if I write it, you may be in for a surprise.

Wow, my heart was in my cest thumping loudy then it was in my hroat and thenmy mout and ...oh look tere it goes!! Brilliant, the slight madness of him at the begining, evening out (kinda) as Marie helps him.

OH! That f*cking bitch!! I understand being /disappointed/; but Storm being that nasty, crude, unfeeling and BITCHY!! NEVER could I have seen *that*! So what if she's cured?? It doesn't change who her friends are, where her loyalties lay, where her love lays.
Yeah, can't see Logan rolling over and playing dead just because he's had responsibilities foisted on him. *SHE* was his first, his /chosen/ responsibility; and the fact he'd fight for her still is no suprise - FTW!! She's his and he's hers and together they're whole, Period, end of story!!

Author's Response: And it's good to be back. I swear my hands were shaking and I was having cramps for not being able to spend my days writing.
Usually I don't see Storm as a bitch. I just don't like her character in the movies that much. But her attitude towards Marie when she wanted to take the cure, and then later towards Logan when he was packing his stuff and intending to go after Jean spawned the bunny that made this fic happen.

All I can say is "Wow!" I really liked this. Normally 2nd person doesn't work, but you pulled it off beautifully here. I can see this scenario playing out after the last movie. I could never buy that Wolverine was just tamed and happy living at the mansion, with Storm as his boss. I would think occurences like this would be pretty common..Great fic!
