OMG! This is a twist that I never would have thought of this but I suppose the timelin of wepon x suposidly being around, what, 16/17 years before? Good one. Sad, but brilliant!

I have absolutely no idea what to think of this. "Tough love" is one thing; wanting to spare someone such pain as this is admirable; and it more than likely is the only way to break whatever it is that Marie feels for him. BUT, to call it part of a past he'd rather forget anyway is just too simple. He should've known before searching, that he was no boyscout; if he didn't want to know, he shouldn't of gone looking. To punish an innocent bystander because you're ticked off at yourself...well that's just another level of cruelty that I refuse to apply to any Logan from any fanfic.
Author's Response: He isn't punishing Marie. He's trying to spare her from the truth. And at the same time trying to break her feelings towards him so that she could go on.

So by being the biggest asshole that has ever walked the face of the earth he hopes to break her crush? And then what? Go back later, maybe piece together some sort of a friendship after she heals or just keep trying to kill himself because he's an lonely emotional wreck? That seems quite a horrible option. Making them both miserable, giving into the trama the past caused on him and then he put on her. It's a very selfish way to let her go.
Author's Response: Not to go back. Try to forget and hope that she forgets as well. After all, she's the one last link to the past he'd rather not lived at all.

...So... why's he so sad? You'd think that a man so desperate for his past finds out that a kid be already likes is his he'd hang onto her. I mean, definitely not TELL her he's her dad, but want to stick close. Just for his own personal benefit.
Secondly (I know, forgive the longness) this Eva would have to be like Marie's great, great grandmother or something for the age to work out. Especially since it was before Weapon X. But, I guess in the movie he didn't stay in Weapon X very long, so I guess she could be his kid. But again, I don't get his angst. He should be happy. TOO FREAKED OUT, but happy.
...Unless we're to assume he was harboring romantic feelings for her at the time (which a lot of us Rogan shippers do :P). If that's the guess then... yeah. He should be throughly disgusted with himself.
Author's Response: What if we were to assume that he wasn't harboring romantic feelings towards her, only paternal, but knew about Marie's crush on him?
Author's Response: Uhh, and the timeline I'm basing in to some interview I saw where somebody said something about "Wolverine" (the movie) happening about 17 years before X1. So it kind of fits.

Oh my god, that was just... I don't know what it was, but it is heartbreaking. There are a lot of stories about Logan's past, but to make Rogue/Marie his daughter wow. It made me cry, wonderful, Ara just wonderful.
