That was a fabulous series. Very raw and painful to read. Despite the age difference, we often think that Marie and Logan are so RIGHT for each other, that we can't imagine them ever being wrong together.
However, your portrayal of their relationship was incredibly realistic. You covered so many complications and issues that might naturally occur within a relationship like theirs...
I loved these stories, but sometimes hated them, too. They were absolutely heartbreaking, but sometimes tender in their desperation. I wish things had turned out better for them, but sometimes they don't, and that's the reality of life, I guess.
Either way, the stories were fantastic! I've read them before and I know I'll read them again. Incredible work; you are IMMENSELY talented. :)

I've no idea why I haven't reviewed Map me with Bruises before, and haven't read this story before, but just to let you know I found this incredibly heartwrenching and hard to read, but ultimately, satisfying and right. You've cut right to the core of their dilemma, and as drastic (and ill-advised, because if she'd thought about it more perhaps the pain would have been more endurable?) as her solution was, it might actually have been the right one. Yes, that would have been one potentially screwed up kid, and Maree really did need to find herself a little more before becoming a parent. Huge kudos for taking the tough path with this fic rather than the easy, people-pleasing one. It really needed to end the way it did and kept the trilogy tight, dark and true. (And I'm going to rec this trilogy on my tumblr Caution: Adult Themes, if that's OK with you.)

My niece one day woke up and told everyone that she was now Cathy. She was four at the time and only answered to Cathy. Her name is Emma but that year all her x-mas gifts read Cathy. It lasted about a month and was just funny as can be.
P.S. After reading this story four times I finally understand why Logan answered the phone and called his son "Billy" instead of "Jesse". A bit slow on the uptake.

I spent a lot of time thinking about how I should review this and couldn't come up with a satisfactory answer. So I'll just say that it's very powerful and it definitely moved me. I know that's not very good but I couldn't seem to put words to the emotions I felt. Fantastic job =)

I gotta say, I really love the happy endings that take the easy way out. That makes it an even bigger complement to you that I absofrickinlutely love this story. The realism and angst are a refreshing (as in tears) change

Um so it turns out that I read this series before, and I did what I always do when I read a book or a fic I love: i spent a few days torturing myself cuz of all the angst, then I tried my bestest (when I use words that dont exist, it means that real words arent good enough. Take it as a complement, lol) to forget it, so that I could read it again and enjoy it just as much as the first time. And it worked!!!!! I luuurrrrrve(love) it sooo much! The Yummiliciosity (the more words i cram into an adjective, the higher the complement paid ^_^) was ridonkulous. And I love you for it, lol. Even the angst (which I used to hate) is somehow like a warhead, (the sour candy) which is so sour at first, then so sweet...
Ok this is my longest review maybe ever, and for sure the longest one on this site, so Ill shut up now and read more....

Fabulous story..enjoyed it a lot. I thought it was neat how you changed things around a bit with these two and it wasn’t about their usual guilt trips-his age issue- cuz he very deliberately went after this younger Marie (loved the waiting for her in her room part..very hot)..and her skin. I liked how her skin really wasn’t important for either of them..the fact that it wasn’t even a second thought for him..might have made her feel even more comfortable. I also liked how she didn’t shy away or start to withdraw whenever he touched her bare skin, even with the inevitable consequence..esp. since he apparently liked to do it a lot LOL.
-And yeah, Logan’s kind of promiscuous ways were mentioned..but the other women/Jean weren’t really even really a blip on the radar..it was a nice change that it was more about Logan having to endure Marie’s other guy (esp. since that luckily didn’t progress too much :P
This Logan totally reminded me of Expectations Logan..the desperately Marie-needing Logan..one of my faves. Thank you.

The ending was so good I totally "awww"'d out loud! I loved your other series of three too, it was very Dark!Logan but it totally works. I didn't think this was the same kind of Logan, but I like them all! All different and wonderful :)
Author's Response: That Logan wouldn't have made such a good father really, he was too ... well a lot of things to be able to care about someone other then Rogue, in fact at times, he acts in ways that made it seem as if he cares more about himself then Rogue. not good father material. i had to tamp him down a lil to make him fit in this story. and i'm glad you liked them all, i'm uber pleased with the series so big thanks for reading that too.

I can relate to that. I actually at one point really wanted to change my name. In my school there were 6 or 7 girls with the SAME name and I was sick of being called the wrong name.
Author's Response: i was one of those girls who was stuck with such an exotic name that you can neither find a meaning of it online, nor say it in any way that remotley sounds sexy. and my last name sounds familar to my first name, like a crappy poem where hat, cat and dat is used. except with loads more letters.

Great story. I loved all the glimpses into their lives. I must say I really liked that they ended happy in this one. Love the Buffy mention too!
Author's Response: the name thing was actually something that happened to me. i have a terrible name that no one can prounounce and everyone twsists into something else. i got teased a lot. so i sat my parents down at my cousins house (maybe i should have waited till we were at our house ...) and told em i wanted to change my name. everyone laughed their heads off. i dropped the subject. sadness. and to think if i had kept pushing i would have now been Esme Belladona Cordelia. so close ... yet so far away.rnrnlol, thanks for the review

Wow... That was... powerful and intense and realistic and sad. I mean... wow. The pain and feeling the weight of a phantom baby. Great writing and discriptions. I really felt for her. As hard as it was to write something like that, I applaud you. Very dark. And the way you described why makes perfect sense. I mean, as much as I don't believe in abortion, she honestly felt like it wasn't right to have a baby. Tearfully beautiful.
Author's Response: Thank you :) i was having a lot of trouble with this one. you don't know for how many days i didn't work on it at all because i knew i wouldn't do a good job, this is compared with part1 and 2 with i finished, edited and posted in hours. but finally it came back and i worked the skin of my fingers off, so i'm glad you think it's good. would give you a tissue but i've run out lol.
