Author's Response: He promised to take care of her, yes. Because of that he valued her higher than any other mutant, and her survival was his goal. But he would have made sure that she survived even without his promise. She's a formidable weapon, and most likely will survive in the real world.

You build good atmosphere, and Marie's reaction of anticipating the worst is so typical of people under stress, even when the ones we're worrying about are smarter than we anticipate.

Yay an update..have to say these little vignettes are small, yet pack a big punch...they leave me wanting to know more..to know all of it, actually LOL.
For some reason I’d imagined life outside the gates, aka life for non-mutants, was “normal” and decent and that the mutants, herded and living in their contained area, were worse off. Now, that theory’s shot, lol...unless the guys were lying to Marie?..hmmm. Either way, whatever life is like on the other side..glad to see Logan still manages to be wherever Marie is..she’s probably the only bright spot in his life..I think. Thank you.
Author's Response: I don't know what the world outside is, I haven't seen it yet. And this pace I'll be old and grey before my muse reveals even the smallest glimpse of it. But I'm glad that you find these scribblings interesting. :)

Author's Response: ...Coming and going as they please... Yeah. That's Marie's take on it. So far there has been exactly one individual who made it over the wall alive. We do not know what happened to Jigsaw. We do not know if Frank got out alive.

You know you are killing me with these short little glimpses into their world right? This is just I don't want to say awesome, but awesome world you've created here that I could totally see happening. But I need more! I wonder if the human side is still sunny days and kids in daycare? I wonder if they get out, could they theortical live in that world undetected or is Logan wasting his time? I'm also waiting for the shint to hit the fan. And you know its going to! This story has some serious epic potential then I see the sort word count and its "damn, she's teasing me again!"

Author's Response: I have no idea of what the world outside is like. Logan remembers what it was back then, and Marie doesn't know anything about it, so if, IF Logie keeps torturing me with these short glimpses, we probably eventually get to see what the wall is hiding from their eyes.rnrnEpic potential... Pfft... Nowadays it's a good day for me if I manage to wring this much out of Logie with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch. :-)

Went to read this series from the beginning...really interesting. What a bleak, dismal world they’re in..or at least the mutant parts of it..she hasn’t been exposed to any other way of life..but Logan..sounds like he was..wonder what his thoughts on all of this are? I like how, even though he doesn’t verbalize it (and doesn’t give the impression he ever will)..she means something to him..he returns for her/to her..and protects her. Even though it seems like their world precludes the chance for a“traditional” sort of romance..their connection is still there and fitting for their circumstances. Thanks for sharing.
Author's Response: Thanks for taking your time to write a rewiew. Their world is bleak. This all started when a certain image started bugging me. I could see the first chapter in my minds eye and thought that it would have stayed as a one-shot, but it looks like there was more to it.

i have become such fan of your work since i started trawling through them one by one recently. you're so creative and the plots you come up with are so entertaining and creative.
oh, and i blame you for the weeknight i didn't get to bed until 3am b/c i couldn't stop reading until i finished a long story LOL!

hmmmm..... I am really liking this series so far. wonder where logan does go when he disappears.
Author's Response: He goes and gets laid, scavenges for food and small knick-knacks, barters with people etc. Basically he's your everyday concentration camp survivor. We may get to tag along with him next time he leaves, I'm still negotiating with him about that.

Author's Response: This one falls in to category "Forever WIP". I'll make no promises considering the future releases for this one. There might be one, there might be more or there might be none. And I must disappoint you. There's no really big background story behind this, no great plotline to follow. The basic premise is that mutants are forced to live in a ghetto, isolated from the outside world. That's about the extent of the plot that here is.

Author's Response: Guilty as charged. *grin* At first I laughed, then looked at the pic again and laughed some more. Then an old story that I have archived at FF.net got a new rewiew, I was unable to remember the story and I tried to find it so I could respond to the rewiew and stumbled upon "Bring out your dead" while listening Billy Idol and that pic was still in my mind and I wasn't laughing anymore. I started to think what it would take to make Wolverine wear that kind of underwear.rnrnThanks for the FB :)

Author's Response: Heh, no Romero this time. Just something old I found and brushed up a bit. I wrote this on this summer, Marie's conversation with the loudspeaker, after quite horrible day at work, then couple of days ago I was cleaning up my archives and decided to give it a shot in the name of science. Wanted to see if I would be able to write just a drabble and leave it there. :)

Author's Response: I think almost every drabble carries that potential, but this one wouldn't go far. They're stuck, there's nothing that can change that fact, and since I'm expert at writing stories up to that magical point of ultimate stuck, I'd rather let this be than try to solve the situation.
