The hardest thing about reading a WIP when there's already 19 (or 20 as it turned out) chapters, is that you finally reach a cliffie that you can't just shoot past. D:
This story is brilliant and I love the writing and the AU world that you've created. Can't wait for more!

Dun DUn Dun.... i wonder why she was thrown to the ground? I guess she never did get a hold of that sweater.. I was hoping she would snag it on her way out.I'm interested to see who really does the saving, it seems like it's still up in the air. Ha! she got HERSELF out. Now she( we all know women are delicate flowers) has to save HIS sorry ass with a couple of hand guns. well at least she can fire like crazy without worrying about hurting him in the process. YAy! I'm glad they will both finally be out. they need to have a serious chit chat about his walking out. I'm gad seh told you how the story will play out. I hop it's similar to the version in my head. I hope you also focus a few more moments on the affection he still seems to have for her, even while walking away. I know this isnt quite a romance fic, but there is definitely something special there :) thanks for the new chapter, I look forward to the next one
Author's Response: She definitely did. I didn't expect to get this chapter out so quick but Wolvie was silent in my head and Rogue was not particularly happy. So the squeaky wheel got the grease. I hope she can save him too, though he still doesn't really care in my head. Very laid back this Wolvie. He likes her, though, I think. He's just not really capable of love in his 'condition', the poor thing.

No need to hide, RD. :) Things are just getting interesting. It's nice to see small tidbits of caring sprinkled so sparsely to Wolverine's otherwise so gruff character. It makes it more real for me than the overly mushy "I'll-Die-For-You!" -Logan that I keep seeing usually while reading fics. I hope you're not planning to leave us hanging in suspence for too long. If that's the case you'd better find something big and sturdy to hide behind... :)
Author's Response: This Wolvie...he ain't in love to say the least. But I like him, he's a simple guy. For his lack of communication he feels very open to me, easy to read. Without having to touch him Rogue knew who he was, understands/respects, and acts accordingly. Next chapters difficult, everyone from the good Colonel to Sabretooth is giving me different ways to go and I'm having a hard time choosing because Wolverine and Rogue are strangely uncooperative with any of them.

no ma'am! I knew this would happen!! She would have gone back for him easily risking her life.... he has to come back, he just has to. there will be some redeeming act in the next few chapters I can feel it. I am so anxious after reading this chapter. such a great story to keep me on the edge of my seat. This world you have created is so intriguing. PLEASE PLEASE post again soon. How am I supposed to concentrate at work :)

yay!! he actually feels some sort of protectiveness :) this chapter made me smile. They keep moving closer to the exit. I hope that they see the light of day soon, should be an interesting scene when they make it out. I'm glad he used some word this time :)hahahahaI can't wait for the next installment!

well that was definitely action packed. I'm glad they keep getting close to an exit. Thanks for the new chapter today! I think this story does a really good job of capturing what it feels like being on the run, not knowing if you'll get out. the suspense waiting between chapters only adds to it hhahahaha. I hope there are some more conversations in the next one, nt that I don't love a little blood shed :) be kind, post again soon :)
Author's Response: Very convo light this story. This Wolvie would prefer to communicate non-orally but sometimes I have to put my foot down and say, "No. You have to use your words." Which makes him mad and he skulks away. Chapter for Saturday I'm thinking. :)

It's nice to see Wolvie in a bit lighter mood for a change. I wonder is it because he genuinely wants to escape or has he just grown tired of Rogue? Perhaps he realized that if he kicks her out he doesn't have to listen her anymore? I don't know why, but I can actually see this version of Logie doing that. I can see him helping his cellmate to escape just to get some peace and quiet.
Author's Response: I definitely agree with you. She could be a means to an end for him and that's it. But so could he be for her. I mean, come on, she must have realized somewhere along the way that there was no way she was getting out on her own. She HAD to take him. The lingering question is did he HAVE to take her? :O~
