I've enjoyed this whole story, but this specific chapter is brilliant, gripping, poignant. The interplay between Logan and Joe is.. just... wow.

Hi! I've come late to this and just read all 11 chapters in one go .. fabulous work. You plot so well that the words just leap off the page, and the grammar, typos etc that seem to be worrying you aren't even noticeable. (And I'm a professional editor.) I hope you have a few more chapters for us, but well done on keeping this so tight and suspenseful so far. Look forward to reading the rest!

I'm a huge Cyke fan. Always have been. Just never liked Jean. So I'm glad that you brought him back. The way you went about it was very original. Again, bravo. :D

I'm rubbish at reading and reviewing these days - lazy *g* But I'm enjoying this - it's dragged me out my lurkdom! I like how you're developing X3's excuse for a plot into something so much better. I'm glad about Scott, I hated what happened to him in X3 and I love your idea for reversing that. And I totally love John's snarky little comments. He rocks! - the spiffy uniform bit in the last chapter made me laugh out loud *g*
Looking forward to finding out what happens next.

This was your best chapter yet. You actually had me tearing up there at the end. It was just so moving. I loved that it took this to make Logan see, really see how much he needs Marie.

I think that you're being way too hard on yourself. This was a great chapter. One thing though, please don't let Jean live. You've GOT to kill her off. Please. Pretty please. That was the one thing about the third X-Men movie that I actually liked - that Jean Grey died.
And yes, I realize that I have "Jean issues." But hey, doesn't everyone who follows the Rogue/Logan ship have them to an extent! :D

very instereting...just one things though; when Rogue absorbes Logan, she shouldn't get his metal claws, since they're not a part of his mutation. Or maybe I'm wrong, I dunno
Author's Response: Actually, she doesn't get his metal claws, she gets his bone claws, which are part of Wolverine's mutation, the government just grafted metal onto them. Also, in the comics when Rogue absorbs him, she does aquire bone claws for a while.
