Rogue killing Mystique and Magneto so easily wasn't quite what I was expecting. It belittles them.
I can't help feeling that you got tired of writing this story..?
Author's Response: I know. I wanted to make it longer, but I just wasn't to sure what to do with it. Hopefully, the next chapter will be better.

I was surprised that you went with Rogue's mum being an OC, guess I thought you'd go with the comic version of it being Mystique..
Author's Response: I'm actually using a little from both the movies and the comics. Kind of mixing it up a little. Like the background comes from the movies, but the fact that she can use powers she's obsorbed is from later issues of Ultiamte X-Men. I AM going to use her, though.

i was surprised that Rogue's parents were rather easy on Logan given he's so visibly older, but then again they haven't seen her in 3years so they may well just be happy to see she's alive and protected.
good dialogue re Rogue's parents.. I wonder if she'll go looking for her mum and whether she'll make the connection that if Leah is a mutant it's likely that her own mother is too!

Mmm, I'm not really on board with how Rogue is getting to permanently keep the powers of everyone she touches. It's supposed to be a temporary thing unless she kills them in which case they stay with her permanently.
This way it's too easy.. she could just touch everyone for a short while and become the most powerful mutant ever!

Good chapter!
It would make a lot of sense if Rogue 'lost' the control to her power because her body didn't want anyone touching her again after her childhood experiences.
Can't understand why, if her adoptive mother was also a mutant, Marie would have to leave home when her own powers surfaced?
I think Logan recovered rather too quickly from his ordeal given, for example, how long it takes him in the movies to recover from a knock on the head by Sabretooth or Jean's attacks, but the last scene was very sweet.

Difficult scene, very harsh on poor Logan! :(
Couldn't understand at first why Rogue was so angry at Logan after Scott had explained why everyone had been kept away, and when she asks Logan he explains too, then he gets blamed for everything when Rogue was the one who made the choice to take out Jean instead of him! Understandable though given what she's now going through because of her sacrifice. Love how she loses it at the end... poor Wolvie.
