The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
I guess we'll find out the answer to that question in the next update. Can't wait!
Another excellent chapter. I'm really enjoying how Rogue and Logan's realationship is progressing. It's well done - very sincere and realistic. :D
I loved the comparison of the Sentinels to the Terminator movies. I'm guessing that Genosha is going to THE major villan in this particular fic. Am I right?
Rogue's uniform and the group she and Nick were talking about, could it by any chance be the Hellfire Club? Or am I way off base. The Hellfire Club's got tons of money and of course Emma Frost is one of them, so she could have introduced Rogue. They would definately have the power, connections, and mutant sympathtic attitude neccessary to meddle in government affairs and still keep off the so-called grid.
Author's Response: Thank you, thank you, and yes, Genosha is Antagonist numero uno, but you *are* off-base with the Hellfire Club, or I'd have involved Jean in the plot a lot more, and had some interesting bits with Phoenix to go with it. (Not a bad idea, really. Maybe in another fic.) I was actually going along the lines of Ultimate X-men's Fenris Internation with their goals of corporate espionage to benefit mutantkind; I've decided that in my version of events they aren't real villains, as they so often are, but just chiefly amoral to the point of being dangerous––but only to those they feel deserve it: think an androgynous pair of mutant Hannibal Lecters without the flesh-and-blood cannibalism, just corporate and political (ie: metaphorical) cannibalism. Good guess, though.
Fantastic fight scene. Your depiction of Rogue's invulnerability was my favorite part. Yes, she's invulnerable, but there are limits. Great stuff. Looking forward to the next chapter!
Awesome! I loved this chapter. You did such a good job bringing Rogue to the team. Although I'd still like to see her beat the crap out of Logan in the DR. Good update!
This story KICKS ASS!!! I have just read it from the beginning and I think it is the best thing you have ever written. I love your Rogue and how strong but broken she is, and the peace that Logan has because of what she did for him is just perfect. I like that Hank and Logan drink together and that Hank is independent enough to not be Xavier's toadie (like he is so often). Please update soon.
Oh, quick correction/suggestion, in the Logan/Emma conversation in chapter 5, at the very end you have a sentence that starts with Carol, that I believe should start with Emma.
Author's Response: Thank you, it's good to know that I'm improving, and I'm glad that I have achieved 'KICK ASS' status. I admit that my ideas surrounding Hank's suspicious non-toadie character (as well as, incidentally, Fenris Corp. and Rogue's contracts with Remy to get her skin under control) were shamelessly pilfered from the Ultimate X-men comics and bent mercilessly to my whim. Logan being at peace was essentially my way of thumbing my nose at a few archetypal 'Logan has issues' versions of his character––and the same goes for Rogue's general badassery and 'no drama' variety of quiet broken-ness (more war-torn than actually broken, as broken suggests fragility, of which my Rogue has little). Basically, my inspiration comes from aggression: when I get irritated with not seeing certain qualities of character or story-arc that I like, I get increasinly frustrated and finally just decide to write my own damn characterizations and stories. This is the result.rnrn
And thank you for the correction; I hadn't noticed it. Self-editing is not my friend.
Hahaha, can't wait to see this blood bath.
Awww Wolvie is in love.
Can't wait for the next chapter.
Logan smirked a little. “I think we’ll get along just fine, you an’ I.”
Rogue smiled back a little. “Yeah. Ah think so, too.”
Me too ^-^
You never disappoint. This chapter was so poignant, my stomach was in knots. You develop their relationship so beautifully; it has such depth... . I love it so far, and I love their personalities. Well done.
Great chapter. I really liked how you fleshed out your own version of the Rogue/Gambit relationship, and I'm also enjoying how you continue to grow Rogue and Logan's. Please keep up the great work!
Remy into the mix.........very cool!
Nice double update. I really like your Rogue.
Oh yeah. They will get along just fiiine. Just don't let Jean spoil that (I don't like that woman).
The interaction between Logan and Marie is so *real*. They really are two of a kind, kindred souls and personalities and life experiences that make them who they are and color their outlooks. It's so well written, so truly intimate in terms of their discussion, that I almost felt like I was eavesdropping on them when they talked in these last 2 chapters.
Author's Response: Wow. Thank you. I'm immensely flattered, and so happy that I was able to convey such a powerful impression to you.
Nice. I like this version of Rogue.
Perfect. These two are like peanut butter and jelly. Another beautifully written chapter. Thanks for sharing.
I really like this story. It could be your best yet, and that's saying something because I really enjoy your work. You've crafted a wonderful backstory, general plot, and your very own version of Rogue that I absolutely love. Keep up the fantastic work, please. I'm looking forward to your next chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you, and I'm very glad that you like my story, my work in general, and my Rogue. I'm at an interesting place with this story, if only because––for once, because this so rarely happens––I have no earthly idea where it's going now, which is why the updates have slowed down so much. I guess you could say I'm looking forward to the next chapter, too.
Goodone. Very good. I like it more and more. And this Rogue is just wonderfoul.
Nice. I lke Rgue with an attitude.
Wow. She sounds like me o a certain extent. Don't trust anyone.
I had not read until now. Great story! I've always been a big fan of yours, and I have to agree - one of your best. I love how you portray the characters, especially Rogue. She's sassy, smart, strong, and yet vulnerable; the chemistry with Logan is there and I can't wait until you develop it further. Update soon.
Author's Response: Thank you very much. I'm glad that you like my versions of Logan and Rogue as much as I do.
Great interaction in Xavier's office.....looking forward to her "chat" with Logan.
More please! I love this story. It's so original. And as much as I adored your previous stories - this one's even better.
Seriously, please update soon! I'm dying to know what happens next. I can't wait to see the X-geeks and Logan's reactions to Rogue. She's already made one heck of a first impression on 'em! Ha!!
Please tell me that Logan isn't going to be busy chasing Jean Grey in this story. I would love to see him have to chase Rogue a little though. **insert evil grin and creepy laugh here**
Laughed at loud when Rogue sassed Scott and made him her bellhop!
