The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
Hello, I have been rather gripped by this story and I was wondering if you were going to carry on with this story, I understand that life does get in the way of these things but I would love to know what the ending is.
The description of flying thru clouds was cool. Lots of ppl, when writing scenes like this (whether it's Angel, Storm, Carol or Rogue doing the flying) seem to overlook the fact that there are seriously exotic and *dangerous* conditions within the clouds that look so peaceful and harmless from a distance -- ridiculously fact winds, frigid temps, thin air, and major electrical charges! So, it was nice that you didn't ignore that!
I stand amazed.
Shocked, SHOCKED, like a Democrat! (heh heh, yes that's a Rush Limbaugh joke; sorry if it went over your head)
...neeways, the point is, I can hardly review b/c I've been rendered speechless by your brilliance! Did you by any chance read Jenn's "Jus Ad Bellum" recently? Not that I think you're copying, but your Logan's personality, and the philosophical bent he shares w/Rogue, managed to strike almost *exactly* the same tone as the Xmen in that story...who are ALL war survivors. And I *LOVE* the mood this story puts me in!
Boy, do I wish you would FINISH this monster, already! Get to it, girl, so I can fritter another day away immersed in your imagination! ;)
This is an AMAZING story! I'm so impressed with your writing skills and storytelling talent, you really have a gift! I would love to read more, I hope someday you pick this up again.
Whimper...sooooooooooooo, now I need more. A lot more. More than is actually reasonable to ask for. Like, enough to drown myself in for months at a time without surfacing. Thank you for the cherry. The clifffhanger has me biting my nails from curiosity about Rogue's influence in the speech. And that, for some odd reason, strikes me as funny. Thar Rogue, for all her antisocial behaviors and intense privacy to the point of not speaking all that much if given her druthers, has nitpicked what should be one of the most watched speaches in their nation. You make me smile. Thank you.
~Mia
Author's Response: I will most likely try to finish it... ~guilty look~ eeeeventually. Life and, admittedly, a little ship called Sparrington have long since dragged me away in their evil clutches. I still do like this story, and I remember how it ends, and how I was planning to get from this chapter, all the way to the ending, but I've not since then been able to sink into it and sort of become one with the mindset of the story so that I might actually write it.rnrnI do love my super-snarky, antisocial hacker!Rogue, and her juxtaposition of traits so that she has great perspicacity when it comes to reading people and politics, but still tends toward the misanthropic. You're more than welcome.
You gorgeous bit of awesome! I love how you twist everything around. As soon as I get the chance, (read: devour everything of yours on this site) I am going to check out your livejournal account. I am curious to see what has gripped your imagination and plot bunnies so well. I can understand that completely. I sometimes go weeks just needing Severus Snape/ Hermione Granger stories and nothing else. Other times it's Stephanie Plum stories or Bella/Edward awesome cliches. I should be a little embarrassed by the eclectic and predictable mix of stories I like most, but I like what I like. And right now, my one true love is right here. And she is awesome and gorgeous and as gay for badass Rogan things as I am. Thank you.
~Mia
Author's Response: "You gorgeous bit of awesome! I love how you twist everything around."rnrnThat, right there, epitomizes what it is my goal to inspire in the brains of people reading what I've written. Thank you muchly, as it's always good to hear when I've achieved success.rnrnI do hope you'll enjoy the rest of my work. If you've not read much slash before, I can only hope I'll corrupt you in much the same way as I was corrupted. I started out with no intent to write it, until I stumbled across a certain ship, with a certain pair of characters that, much like it was in the case of Rogue/Logan fic, caused me to stumble over it, do a double-take once I realized what I was looking at, and then think about it with a sense of intrugue and bemusement, after which I then got really really curious. I read first with morbid curiosity and a sense of snarky superiority, until I stumbled across the unexpected: truly good writing, and a fascinating play of character traits on either side of the relationship.rnrnHook. Line. Sinker. My plot-bunny-maker, formerly anchored here on this site, was thoroughly shanghaied.rnrnThus, I hope you like pirates, as I am apparently rather queer for them, too. Then again, my brain is androgynous and queer in a lot of ways by default, so perhaps this is not altogether surprising.
I apologise for the volumes of my squeeing, even if it is within the confines of my own head. It's just so much damned fun to read. Thank you.
~Mia
Author's Response: By all means, continue to squee; I find it most encouraging, than you. And you're more than welcome.
Damn. Um...guh...yeah. Thank you.
~Mia
Author's Response: Rendering people incoherent is another thing I do try to aim for. Thank you and you're welcome.
Your destruction is gorgeous to me. Bring it on as often as you feel inclined. You have a beautifully instinctual lilt to your writing that I find highly entertaining, intoxicating and amusing. I love your dry, jaded sense of humour. Thank you for sharing it.
~Mia
Author's Response: I'm blushing. Thank you so much, and you're more than welcome. By the by, I've not dabbled back in X-men fic in quite some time, but I've not stopped writing. I've just sort of located to a new fandom for a bit, given that it sort of commandeered my interest and shanghaied all my plot bunnies. I've got more fic (slash-fic, I admit) at http://likeahurricane7.livejournal.com/
Holy hell! How do you manage all the awesome in your head? This is fantastc.
~Mia
Author's Response: Years of practice? Thank you muchly.
This is so damned beautiful. I have really grown attached to your brand of humour. Your Rogue may well be one of my favorite badasses of all times. I may be a little gay for her.
~Mia
Author's Response: Thank you muchly, m'dear. I aim for badassery, and it's always extremely flattering to be told I've hit my mark, especially in such a charming way as you've been doing so far. And worry not; if I weren't a little gay for dear Rogue, I'd not have written nearly so much story with her in it.
I just re-read this for what is, I am sure, the billionth time. I love this story so much. I love this Rogue so much. I don't know if you're still working on it or not, but if you are, please, please, please go as fast as you can. This is just too damn good to make me wait this long between updates.
Awww possessive Logan really likes being the first ;)
I can't wait for the next chapter!
This is so well written, I love it. The tension between Logan and Marie is so tangible. That scene was hot!
Hot. Veeeery hot.
Wow. Hot and sweet. Just the way I like it. Though you never did say what Rogue did with that scarf.;)
Glad she told him not to hold back. I think Logan does that too much. Part of what I like about these two as a pair is they each get to be all of themselves with the other.
John and Bobby were pretty clueless for two teenage guys.LOL
Can't wait to see what the Prez has to say. Thanks for posting.

With such a slow, simmering build up, I was delighted to see them slowly boil over into each other. LOVE Wolverine making a public claim. Good job!
A lovely bit of smut tidied in between two pieces of plot. Marvelously done! My favorite part of this chapter has to be the moment where Logan pulls Rogue into his lap, thereby causing her barely restrained squeal. That really made me smile. Marie's still under there. :)
I have just read the first 11 chapters back to back and want to read on! I love the story, the characters. How Rogue is damaged but also so strong. Her interaction with Logan and the mix with Comic Verse.
Hope I have time to read the rest soon!
Are they ever gonna do it? The UST is killing me!
Good last chapters but I really need more NC-17 stuff ;)
The slow, sexy simmer between these two is fabulous.
Author's Response: Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
Ooooooh I think it't mating season for Wolverines and Rogues ^_^
