Aw, that is so sad, but feels so true to form.. Logan plunging ahead with the physical and poor Marie absorbing his thoughts and realising that he's just trying to numb the pain. The fact that she was about to say what Jean had said to him before was just tear-jerking.
The end left plenty of room for a follow-up... ;)
