The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
I have now read all four longshots on this archive; I loved this story the most with Lifetimes as close second. You have a truly great gift in weaving the story and apart some issues with grammar - I have to say your stories are among the most creative and thought-provoking that I have read here. I simply adored your Rogue in this one; she was such a mystery in the beginning but as the story unfolded - you have shown so many layers to her character. The reasons she left the mansion were so poignant and Logan slamming the door in her face after Jean's death was truly shocking. You explained it so well - he was her rock, an outcast just like her. And that was her place of belonging. I especially loved the entire conversation in the coffee place - especially the part when Rogue explained she was no failure even though she was not walking the same path as other X-men. Mystique and Gambit were so well-done, I simply loved the ending and how it all came together. Rogue destroying the dairies showed she was ready to make her own future. Great work!
I loved this story a lot. Not only was the plot intriguing and the characters wonderfully crafted, I loved you're version of Rogue. She was more than a victim, she had brass and strength, with still being vulnerable and sympathetic. My only complaint would be that the subplot dealing with the prophecies could have been developed further. There was so much potential there and I'll admit I was disappointed that it didn't come find her despite her having destroyed the books.
this was quite the ride! Very well done!
I really adore the way you twisted the multiverses together. Makes me ten kinds of happy.

Author's Response: Thanks :)
Holy hell, batman! She drugged her and threw her from a plane?!? I may just learn to love Mystique yet. Beautiful, beautiful.
~Mia
Author's Response: haha yeah Mystique sure does have an odd sense of humour about things
"she knew the price that came with stolen knowledge. The burden that could behold the seeker."
damn, you are a wise woman! what an amazing story! i am soooo glad i found it!
Author's Response: Thanks alot, I'm glad you found the story and enjoyed and took the time to review still :)

“We’re both free"

ok, this chapter made me tear up a litle, i admit it. i'm a total pansy!
oh...my...god! i am soooo glad she burned those diaries! having your fate spelled out for you, ugh nothing i would ever want. it would steal away my ability to make my own choices, to live my own ife.
good for her!!! just hope this doesn't come back on her badly.
omg, is it a double cross, is she going to kill Graydon, or is it something else? gripping stuff!
"but the world can be a hard place, Logan and just because I grew hard with it does not mean I’m a failure.”
ok, that is the BEST line! it totally sums up how Rogue has changed. gorgeous writing!!!
ooooh Destiny appears. good lord, this is gripping stuff!
ooooh, i have to know more about these mysterious diaries! excellent stuff so far! and i love how you incoporated Graydon Creed in it...will we seek Victor at some point? i hope so!
heh heh flying strong Rogue is my fave!
i just stumbled across this story at 11pm at night and DAMN YOU i just know i'm going to be up late trying to finish it b/c this first chapter hooked me! LOL!
I just realized this is the last chapter...NOOOOO!!! I sincerely hope that you will write a sequel to this story. This is one of the best stories I have ever read. i want to see how their lives start from here
Author's Response: I'm really glad you enjoyed the story, and I appreciated all of your reviews along the way. But I can say that there is no sequel for this story, this story was more about ending with Rogue and Logan together again and on the same road, hence all the angst in between lol
Poor Gambit. Always out done by Wolverine.
now its a perfect ending xXx
Awwww. This is nice ending.
ahhhhh I sense something in the near future... and it ain't good...
but this chapter had me smiling. They needed this little happiness and it's so good to see them like this
Author's Response: haha I don't know what you're talking about ....*looks around mischievously* ...but...I promise things won't be too bad, has to be some growth after all this.
yay! thanks for another happy chapter. Not that I don't love your angsty chapters, but sometimes I need good old fashioned happiness too :) I can't wait for the next one!!
