I haven't ever been skydiving either but I think the section did what you wanted it to do which is give us insight as to who Logan is in his professional environment.
The fact the girls were after him just amuses the heck out of me, does this mean that Marie will have to give him a private seminar? Somehow I can completely see his Grandmother setting that up.

OMG! Poor Logan! I love that he's starting to really look at his grandfather's artwork, but I also love how uncomfortable he is in his surroundings.
The response to Marie was great too, but the ending really has me giggling at first, then how you stopped just before Marie has a real chance for a reaction... PLEASE start the next chapter with Marie taking control of the class by calling the school dean to the classroom or something!
