"I know what you taste like, what you smell like, I know what sounds you make when I touch you and I know what you look like when you're asleep. I know your favorite foods and I know your favorite color and I know how your hands feel without your gloves." He stopped, three inches away, and she caught her breath. "I know what it takes to make you smile and I know what it takes to make you scream--I know you."
Isn't that what we all want??
I have read this so many times. It is dramatic and outrageous and absolutely stunning.
Oh, I just love this story. Your characterizations of Logan and Rogue are so good. And the ending? *Swoon*. "And you think I'd settle with something less than what I actually want."--Love this
! I held my breath when Logan said his "I know you" part, and finally let it go with a "wow" when he said "Tell me you love me. Tell me it wasn't a mistake...". Fantastic story!
I want to write like this when I grow up. It's just.so.good. There doesn't seem to be an extra word in the whole story. Everything is measured and metered so perfectly. I shivered when he asked her how good her control was. A real, honest to God shiver, sitting right here reading the words. There have probably only been a handful of stories over the years that have given me goosebumps. Definitely on my shortlist of favorites. :)
Fantastic! An excellent read!
Damn, do I love this story. This must be the twentieth time I've read it...any time I feel the need to be inspired by good writing, I come back to it. Shame on me for not reviewing it before. Sometimes I think stories just leave me awestruck and speechless, and this is one of them. It's so perfectly in character, and you capture that aspect of Logan that is cryptic and unreadable in a way no other author seems to manage, and for some reason that distance and mystery to his character is just inexpressibly sexy. Anyway, everything about this piece is perfect -- the moodiness, the characterizations, the hot-but-emotional smut. Great work.
Wow! This was perfect. Your characterizations are flawless and I think this story will haunt me. It's amazing how well Marie could know Logan without really "knowing" him. "And you think I'd settle with something less than what I actually want." That line was the clincher. It's so true--Logan would never settle, and so many people bring it up as a possibility all of the time! It's great that you made that point. And then when he tells her to tell him that she loves him, after declaring how well he knows her! OMG! It's romantic, but it's still so perfectly Logan. This was amazing!
Absolutely a joy to have read. Completely enveloping. Thank you.

I cried in the end.
I love this story and how much there was in a chapter. It makes me want weird things. I want a Wolverine salad shooter. I want to cuddle and obscenely fondle this story. Want to take it home and call it fluffy and feed it alpo. It made me supremely happy and satisfied. Thank you.

Wow. That was actually really good. I mean, the smut was your usual great work, but the angst and the way they interacted raised to a whole new level. If this really is the first you ever wrote, I'm almost jealous enough to hate. But I like your work more.
Props, chica.

as Logan would put it...that was a *fucking* good ride ;)
This was gorgeously heartwrenching right up until that almost last line...
"It wasn't a mistake."
Every damn time she brought up Jean's shirt or Jean's closet or Jean's decorating sense, I just wanted to smack her upside her thick skull!! Memories and nightmares aren't all she got from Logan, she got the stubbornness and bullheadedness too!!!
Great story Jenn... Loved it!
