The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
i love the fact that you wrote a much older version of Rogue.
And that she didn't have to rely on Logan to take care of some jerk.
Author's Response: I hate that Rogue is such a teenager in the movies. I was so used to the confident, sexy, grown up Rogue from the comics and even the cartoons that seeing her young and vulnerale like that always chaffed me a little bit. I like my Rogue grown up. She's more fun that way.
Also, I think that this kinda goes back to the comics/cartoons again because she was always so powerful, never needed anyone to do anything for her, and generally took care of her own messes and fuckups.
And this Rogue, one who's grown up around Logan, with him as a Mentor of sorts, definately didn't need him to help her out. *grin*
Gotta love a girl that can take care of herself!! But knowing back up is there, is nice too.
Author's Response: I love how Logan is ther, just in case she needs backup, but lets her handle her situitation just how she wants to.
heya askita! you're really in the mood to write these days arn't you?
I loved the 1st paragraph you wrote, made me think of jazz and a lonely dirt road in the middle of nowhere for some reason. but the ending was a suprise, the way you wrote it made it seem like she was alone and depressive, made me wonder if Logan had left her or something like that. then the tone changes completely when the guy starts a fight with her.
i also loved the back story you gave this verse, the whole mutants being more common but only 1 in 7 being actually powerful enough. loved that. was immeditaly barraged by a Children of Men style bunny, in the whole New World but not a better world kind of way.
and you just can't help but mention alcohol can you lol.
Author's Response: LOL! Girl, I'm sorry I haven't responded to your eamil.
The whole story started out lonely, but then my muses took a different turn and wanted to give it a twist.
I wanted to creat a versitale world where things were exactly like you said. Things have changed, but not for the better that you'd expect. Now it's just a different sort of bad. More steps need to be taken, you can't deal with things the way you used to. I wanted a set up where different people are there, but a few of the same remain. The best part about this world, I think, is that I can show some of the characters in a mew light. Where they've benn changed, but not really hardened too much. Because life changes, people evolve in themselves emotionally as well as physically but at the same time don't really change. They're just given a new set of tools and a new society to work with. A new norm.
Plus, if I get any more bunnies that need worked out, I can toss them in here and have a whole new set of mutants and a whole new regime to work on. *grins*
And I think that alcohol is always going to be a part of society, a cause of problems and fun times. A constant added factor in most everything around. Wether is the decision to abstain, enjoy, or iverindulge. *smiles*
ohh, good one! Marie taught him a lesson ^^
and I like the idea of her being 55 but still looking 27...yay for LoganHealing ;)
I thought "you forgot your jacket" was somehow an incredibly cute thing to say, I don't know why ^^
Author's Response: Thanks, she sure did. That dick.
rnI hate the idea of him living and watching everyone around him die.
rnI wanted it to end rather smug and foofy. *sighs* yay!
i agree with the previous reviewer. kick ass rogue is the best. and i still love that she not only kicked this jerk's ass, but used his own $20 to pay for her drinks. it was the least he could do. :)
Author's Response: Ah, thankies! I know everyone loves kick ass Marie! YOu bet, I was thinking what I'd do in that instance... and voila!
I love kick ass Rogue!
Good one!
Author's Response: Thanks! This was lots of fun to write!
