I was bouncing off the walls when I first heard the glimmerings of a possiblity of this fic over at lj.com, and was even more estatic when you started it and I found that it was good. REALLY good. I am desperate to get more of this fic, so please please please update, or let me know if you need any help to get you writing again. Sometimes all I need is someone to get my creative juices flowing again.

This story is awesome- love the D/S nature of the story especially since so many authors write with Logan's softer side in mind, but you write him extremely bad-a$$, love it!!!
Especially love hearing it from both POVs.

Ah, the ubiquitous OOC Bitch!Jean. I'd forgotten that this was going to be that sort of story. As I've never understood W/R fandom's vitriolic hatred for Jean, nor the bizarre love of seeing her written OOC, I'm afraid this is where we part ways. Still, the first two chapters were hot, and I'm glad I got to read them.
Good luck with the rest of the story!
Author's Response: I am sorry to hear we will be parting ways. There will be fewer mentions of Jean until we get to the mansion at least and that won't be for a while yet. (And in my own defense, the ubiquitous bitch!Jean is Logan's impression right now, but that doesn't mean that is all that there is). rnrnTruely though, I will feely admit I have hated Jean long before I ever became a W/R girl. Jean always struck me as spoiled little Bezzatch who never appreciated what she had and whine way too much about what she did have so needless to say I loved the idea I could openly hate Jean in the W/R world (and I learned to write it from Terri). But to each his own and I appreciate your feedback all the same. Thank you for the well wishes.

Author's Response: No, he didn't handle her right, did he? Now he has to deal with the consequenes. Logan hasn't quite recognized the responsibilities of his role in this relationship yet, but see how he does in chapter 4 and let me know what you think.

Okay firstly - I love, love love and adore that you are contnuing on Kristine's story. It's one of my favs, and I love the idea of a darker Logan. Loving it - and cannot wait to see more.
Only concrit is that you need to watch for typos - your grammer and flow are great, but I noticed a few times you'd use 'ascent' instead of 'assent', or 'beat' when you needed 'beet', stuff like that - spellcheck doesn't pick up on. So keep an eye out for them. If you need someone else to look it over besides your beta - I've betaed a bit for W/R stories and a lot on others, let me know!
Can't wat for the next part - so going on my favorites, haha.
Author's Response: Thank you for the feedback. I have gone back through the entire story and looked for the flipped words as I call them. Hopefully I have gotten them all. If you are still up for a quick beta check I am shooting to have chapter 5 up but the end of the month is you have time and are still interested please drop me a note. I would love the help.

Ooh. I like the development here. And I also like the changes you made to the previous chapter. They're subtle but enough to steer it back nicely just off the edge of dub-con. Their relationship makes that bit more sense to me now. It's still hot and dark but not so one-sided, which goes a long way to making Logan's character just that tiny (but important) bit more sympathetic.
Good stuff. Looking forward to finding out how Logan's abrupt and rather grumpy departure plays out.
Author's Response: I am very happy to hear your comments. Making sure chapter 2 wasn't over the edge was important to me. This Logan and Maire's relationship will always be a complex and non traditional one but at its center will be things we all recognize. Again, thank you for the feedback.

That poor kid has to be ten kinds of confused. I am thoroughly loving this story. I love your take on Jean's lone from X2 about flirting with the bad boy but going home with the boyscout. I never liked her much either. Abuse away. (I kinda like my characters battered and bruided up a bit.)

Yay for the Bitchy!Jean. I've become such a fan of that, and I love the way you've written her as a sort of twisted conniving character, just stringing poor Logan around.
Oh goody! More upset Marie, me thinks. Or at least conflicted Marie. With the way Logan's acting, and how she's got to be confused with everything that's going on, add in the fact that he got pissed because of the shampoo issue, and when he comes back he's pissed as hell. Wooo-Eeeee. That's just going to be a big bucket load of trouble.
And I can't wait for that bucket to tip it's contents over and bathe them in it's angsty-ness.

Wow just wow. I've never been one to love the darker Logan, the one who puts all those good qualities aside for his own selfish needs but I'm falling even more in love with him. Because even when he hides the moral part of him it always pops back up somewhere along your story.
And as much as I think that Rogue giving him anything to be safe is totally unreasonable I kind of like it. Who wouldn't want to do that just to have all that hotness ^__^ and it's not like she's not benefiting from this proposition lol
So yeah this story is amazing, and hot, and oh so sexy and I can't wait to see where this goes and whether they make it to the mansion and confront the evilness that is Jean lol

I really appreciate hearing your thoughts on what you are reading. rnI have always believed that even the very darkest most savage parts of the Wolverine lived by a code of conduct. It may not be 'honor' as Society would see it but it is there and governs all things Logan does. It will continue to appear throughout. rnAs far as what Marie would give up for what she thinks she might get, I think it is relative to how desperate she is. She has nothing, having just escaped from a lab, and has nowhere to go, or at least that is how she feels. So she has in essence prostituted herself to Logan. We will see a bit more of why she is so desperate later and hopefully it will click for you. It was very important to me that I stay true to what Kristine established in "Anything" as well.rn

Nothing specific squicked me, as I enjoy occasional dub-con and non-con, but you mention yourself in the Author's Note on the first chapter that there will be a partial rape. Also, I would say that this story is clearly dub-con, but as the archive doesn't have a label or tag for that, the Rape/Non-Con warning would be the next best thing.
Erring on the side of caution when it comes to warnings is good policy in general, IMO. Especially after the huge warnings kerfuffle on LiveJournal a few months back. Plus, how else are pervs like me supposed to find the stuff we like to read if it isn't tagged? ;P
Author's Response: Oh, the partial rape actually takes place later. I had planned to mark that chapter specifically, but I also wanted to give folks a heads up of the general tone of the piece (which isn't pretty and very NC-17). I will go back and clarify the author's note. Thanks for the clarification of what concerned you and thank you for reading and responding.
