The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
ohhh that was great. want more!
Author's Response: no problem, already writing the next chapter and it should be up tomorrow night.
Love the double knock-out! Equals all the way. Kudos!
Author's Response: thanks! it was the only way the fight could end.
Its ok, I like this story better than Don't let me catch you anyway. This boxing match should be good.
Author's Response: thanks! i had to take a break from DLMCY, it was getting too complicated, so i needed to write this for some fun ;)
You just keep going deeper and deeper into these characters and I am loving it! The hint of sadness from Pyro over the basketball court was brilliant. And Wolverine's assessment of them all being starved for attention is right on, of course. I wonder if he will only take advantage of the 'easy pickings' or if he will develop real friendships with these guys. Hmmm.
Oh, and don't sweat the death grip; I'm sure most of us are familiar. --Wendie
Author's Response: thanks! yeh, it sucks to be over at BH with no place for kids to be kids, even if they try to act like badasses. i think my Wolverine might make some real friends eventually, but you know they'll have to be a bunch of problems first LOL!
Oooh can't wait to read about the fight.
Loving the story. Very few take on the challenge of Logan as a teenager but I'm always fascinated by those stories as it is the part of his life we never see in any medium. Now if I can find someone to re-create The Breakfast Club with an all mutant cast...
Author's Response: oh god girl, don't give me ideas! too late! lol! yeh, playing with AU gives one a real opportunity to play with different depictions of these character we love, take them in a new direction. the idea of what Logan was like as a kid has always intersted me. we didn't even see it in the Wolverine movie or even all that much in the original Origins comic. lots of room to explore!
'folded like a cheap hooker when punched in the gut by a fat guy with sores on his face' great line!!!! Can't wait until the next chapter comes up! And soooooooooooo happy that I didn't have to wait until tomorrow for this little part.
Author's Response: that line is actually one Joey from Friends said in an episode once. isn't is bizarre?
OMG what an awesome fic, this just pushes all boundries love it, love it! I can just picture a young cocky Wolverine!! and could that blondie possible another certain feral!!! I can't wait to read an update this fic is so cool!!!
Author's Response: thanks, actually this story's got me a bit fired up so I'll post up date this evening. working on it now.
Wow. Mutant High just became my new favorite story. Update fast kay?
Best laugh I've had in a long time: Wolvie patting his hair down after Zerker's shockwave. HAHAHAHAHAHA! I also love the contemporary lit lesson and I'm over the moon that Wolvie loves 'Old Man and the Sea' as much as I do. Hitting the 'faves' button right now. --Wendie
Author's Response: thanks. i was a in grad school for lit and Hemingway is one of my faves. i thought about listing Blood Meridian but figured that was a little too violent for this Wolverine I'm writing.
Ya know how actors usually say that playing the good guy is nice, but playing he bad guy is more fun--well, if that's true, then writing this particular bunch of 'bad guys' must be more hilarity than one human being should be allowed to experience. You are giving whole new meanings to 'bad', everything from 'naughty' to 'mean' to 'bad ass cool'. Great stuff! --Wendie
Author's Response: thanks! i always thought the humor potential of a school full of super-powered horomonally driven kids was underplayed in both the comics and the movies.
Hmmm who could that other mutant be... blond and shaggy... I wounder if his name starts with V...
Author's Response: oh i am so transparent i know lol!
Oh my Scott and Logan as teens *LOL*
Author's Response: yeh, it's just ripe for the picking ain't it?
Rogue and Sabretooth.... Getting even better! Can't wait till Wednesday!!!!
Author's Response: heh heh, couldn't resist.
My favorite chapter yet. I love that you didn't automatically condemn or downplay Xavier's intelligent. Just dealing with that many angsty, driven, outcast teenagers requires a special kind of genius.
Author's Response: yeh, Xavier's not a bad guy. seriously, wouldn't working with not only that sheer number of kids but kids with all these crazy powers but a huge challenge and headache? he's just got the patience of a saint i guess.
Oh God, all I could think of at that "We have to determine where to house you." line was Xavier plucking a sorting hat out of thin air, and placing it on our dear Wolvie's head. What an odd situation that would have been.
Author's Response: LOL! i guess Xavier is his own kind of sorting hat. and of course Wolverine wouldn't fit anywhere...at least not at the expense of anyone unlucky enough to have him as a roommate.
Can't wait for the nxt chapter!!! Hope for more Rogue!!!
i found quite peculiar the idea of a teenage logan. but you washed all my douts away! again, an amazing job!
Author's Response: i know, it's soooo weird.
Oooooh I see lots of fun in the near future.
Author's Response: i do too!
As you once said to me...the last line is PERFECT! I was right. FUN, FUN, FUN! --Wendie
Awesome. Love bad-ass Rogue.
Author's Response: she'll get a lot worse. i love making them rotten *evil cackle*
Different but I like!
Author's Response: thanks! for some reason thing sprung into my head two days ago i just couldn't go back to working on my other story until i started this one.
I hope you update soon!!! Can't wait to see what happens with Rogue!!
Author's Response: i'll update tomorrow with chapter 4. don't plan on dragging this out for a long time like my other stories. :)
Hilarious...and soo cute. I love the idea of a teen-age Logan and Marie..and the possibility of them as high school sweethearts :D
This snarky, attitude-y juvie Logan totally made me smile...can't wait to see what trouble he gets into...and esp. can't wait to see him get knocked off his feet by Marie. Gotta say thought, never having read the comics, a short Wolvie always catches me by surprise. Thanks a lot.
Author's Response: heh heh, i love short Wolverine. something about him having a bad case of "short man syndrome" always made sense to me in the comics. in X-men Evolution he appears to be taller, but as the students grow up, especially Scott it becomes clear he's not that tall. there's a couple of great scenes in late season of Evo where Cyclops TOWERS over him. a guy like Logan would haaaaaaate that, especially as a surly teenager.
Oh, this is priceless! I love screechy Kitty and suave, confident jerk, uh, jock Scott. Your dialogue is magnificent. Can't wait for more. --Wendie
Author's Response: i work at a school, so i hear this sort of language all dang day. and yes, Scott had to be the big jerk. I kinda wanted to fashion him after that creep Duncan Matthews from X-men Evolution.
