Nice fight with Deadpool, loved how it was Kitty who beat up Jean, but, as much as I get a kick out of Scooter hiding behind Jean and then running with his tail between his legs, I was really hoping for his pound of flesh. I guess I will have to keep reading. Keep up the great work!!!!
Author's Response: meh, i have someone MUCH more interesting for the next fight. i hate Scott, always have, he's not worth the effort. i like making him a wussy jerk LOL!

Author's Response: actually i got that line from my dad when i was trying to light a fire, asked if he had a match, and he said, "Haven't had one since Superman died" glad i was finally able to use it somewhere LOL!

I’ve been meaning to read this for ages but I just haven’t had a spare moment. But as it’s a quiet afternoon in the office I thought I’d start it on the bosses time (tee hee – getting paid for reading your story – excellent!).
You’re Logan is quite simply perfect and I love that Rogue is so feisty and tough – just how I like her.
I’ve gotten as far as ‘In the Ring’ and I have to say this was an absolutely awesome chapter, full of action and amazingly well written.
I LOVE this and although I am kicking myself for not getting onto it sooner, I am also happy to have such a huge dose of it in one go and more to come (really got to do some work right now but will get back onto this as soon as I can) – yay! xxx
Author's Response: thanks! there's lots more action where that came from, i've got two jam packed chapters planned for the next week with the first tone going up over the weekend. hope you enjoy it too! now i have to work on "Evualation" on my boss's time too LOL!

Hey Corinne,
I’m enjoying this story so much..and am always happy to see an update. I love how you’ve encompassed so many emotions and facets of their relationship in it. I’ve laughed reading about short Wolverine’s posturing attitude, enjoyed his first-ever real friendships with the other kids, and of course, love how you’re showing his relationship with Rogue. I love that we get to see them falling in love...and though it was lust at first, and there’s still a healthy dose there lol, it’s been fun to read about them being friends, joking around, yet still have that undeniable chemistry and intimacy. It’s such a great and unique idea to show them in this AU and while I like Wolverine/Logan the way he’s typically portrayed, not having that angst and world-weariness that he’s commonly associated with, due in part to the memory loss/adamantium/nightmares etc..has been a neat change, and it’s fun to get a glimpse of how he and/their relationship could’ve been. Thank you so much.

Yes, one of the whole points of this story was to write a new version of Rogan, like you said without all the "angst and world-weariness." as delicious as some pining and soul-wrenching adult love is, i was drawn to the idea of what they would be like as kids if they weren't quite so damaged and if they lived in a slightly more tolerant society. call me a crazy optimist. as you can they still get out to lots of trouble and are definitely anti-heroic in many ways...but they're also adaptable because they are young and not locked into how they perceive themselves or how the world views them. plus, it's just really fun to make them teens and give them all the teenage drama silliness that comes with that age.

I loved this chapter, it was interesting to see how you paired their powers up. And that contract was perfect, I could just imagine Rogue and Wolvie writing that up together. They could get a franchise going.
There is one small thing I need to nit-pick, though. Wolfsbane is Scottish, not Irish. Just a little thing, but its always the littlest things that can seem most irksome. Otherwise an excellent installment and I am impatiently waiting for the next chapter ^-^

Author's Response: i just couldn't resist after Warren shouted at Rogue and Wolverine that it wasn't fight club after they knocked each other out. the plot bunny sprang to life and bit my ankles like mad!

Loved the contract. As I was reading it, I had to remind myself that it was part of a fan fiction story and not something written by teenage mutant entrepreneurs. You do all the action so well; I just don't have the patience to write blow-by-blow battles. Vicky might join at some point, but not at the next fight, i've already got it planned out. it's been a crap 2 weeks, but the writing and reading of everyone's stories gives me something to look forward to after all the mess that's happened lately.

Author's Response: thanks! i remember thinking the same silly things as a kid and even now on the rare occasions i have to fuss over my hair and outfit. and of course a teenage boy would never admit to thinking such foo-foo stuff, they have to be all "i just fall out of bed like this b/c i'm a guy and don't give a fuck." but we all know they worry about how they look when they're trying to impress a girl!
