The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
Please let me know if you ever plan on continuing this fic. I regularly check for updates. i love this fic idea!
Once again I realize I don't want children! If they can make the Wolverine a not so hot, miserable, average man there is no hope for the rest....After this whole thing I feel like I need a beer!Seriously I feel bad for them!!!
When I first read this chapter and saw Marie's comments on the various names, I couldn't help but laugh a little. I don't know anyone named Rachel or Leonie, I know a couple of people named Jennifer though, and they all are very nice. However, I DID go to school with a girl named Chantal and she had a...certain reputation, shall we say.
I love this story! I always love to see the softer side of our favorite badass. He would be the first to admit that he may not be the most moral or upstanding person, but his love for Marie should never be in question, even from someone as narrow-minded as Scott!
I know there are people who are uncomfortable with Marie's age, but I think the author has shown quite effectively that there is NOTHING pedophilic about Logan's attraction to Marie. If he were a TRUE pedophile, she would not be the only young girl he would be attracted to.
Mwhhaahahaaa! I love it.
I really like this chapter! It's so touching to she how badly Rogue feels about ignoring her pregnancy and what affect it has on little Becca. And it's so cute to see Papa Wolverine purr for his cub.
I love this family! I can't wait to read more about them. You've really brought the characters to life.
New reader here. I'm thoroughly enjoying this fic :) The way you depict the interactions between Marie, Logan, Becca, and Laura are just wonderful. I also like the dynamic you have going on between Jean and Scott and the other teachers in relation to their feelings about the various aspects of what Marie and Logan are dealing with. I'm seriously loving this fic. Thanks so much for sticking with it! And no worries about the "slow pace", it gives you the chance to build multi-dimensional characters, which are my favourite kind. And heck, anyone who has ever dealt with infants and/or toddlers can tell ya, a whoooooole heck of a lot happens from hour to hour with those munchkins! :D
Absolutely loved Wolviein a toy store, also helping the newbies with their baby, but isn't it time for some serious Logan-Marie lovin'?Poor Marie is basically the mom of two little ones and never even got to have the fun of making them!
I'm perfectly fine with your explanation. Nice job. In fact, you did an awesome job with the smut. And Laura's tantrum was heart-wrenching. I really felt Logan and Marie's confusion, fear and pain for their little girl, as well as Laura's misery. I think I need to go back a few chapters and get reacquainted with Laura and why locked doors might cause such a reaction with her...or is this something we don't know yet? Either way -- WELCOME BACK! I have really missed this story!
Just one little note: You might want to change "Swallowing hard, Marie's gaze returned to his bugle." to "his bulge." Switch the 'g' and the 'l' to change 'bugle' ... a small brass horn like a trumpet but without any valves...to 'bulge'...a protrusion, in this case, an aroused male sex organ. While I'm sure Logan would claim that his 'bulge' is capable of making beautiful music, so to speak, I doubt that the bugle would be what he had in mind. Please know that I mean no offense. You do an outstanding job of writing outside your native language, but this particular typo is easy to miss and can't be caught by SpellCheck because 'bugle' is a correctly spelled word...just not the one you meant! I have often wished SpellCheck could read my mind instead of just what my fingers type! I have to admit I did get a chuckle out of it and I'm sure anyone else who caught the error found it amusing as well, but not in a bad way. Once again, welcome back! -- Wendie
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review (I'm also hoping you'll resume your Rogan fanfic 'Unlikely bedfellows').
I didn't take it as offence, on the contrary I'm very grateful that you pointed out this mistake.
Concerning Laura: She was rescued from a lab, in which she was trained to be a weapon - no childhood, no leaving the facility's basement and her handler wasn't very nice either. The little girl has a few traumas of her own.
Personally, I really like the attention you are focusing on Laura and the relationship that is developing between her and Logan and Marie. I think it adds to all their characters, and makes me care for them more, plus the fact that it opens up the story and lets me see the world around them more vibrantly. I absolutely adore Rogue/Logan-centric stories, but I really like stories like yours as well in that it brings other well fleshed out characters that they can interact with. Great chapter, as usual. I am really enjoying this! :)
What's not to like? She's cute, she's bright and she's a miniature Logan in girl form. As if all that's not enough, she continues to bring out the 'father' in the feral and there is nothing sexier on the planet than a man who is truly engaged with his children. Laura is welcome anytime in my book. And I also really liked what happened with Jean. The fact that her loss of control scared her makes her seem just a tad less creepy, but I still don't trust the wench. --Wendie
wow that was intense. very well written. i was surprised with how u explained marie's pregnancy and it was satisfying i guess. i couldnt think of a better word to explain it.
Some things no man should have to endure, not even an indestructible feral mutant. You captured Logan's worry and frustration and Marie's exhaustion perfectly. --Wendie
Very cute! I'm still enjoying this story very much, and happy about the recent updates. In this chapter, I thought you got it across very well the panic a young parent feels when their child is sick.
Ahhhh the joys of parenthood when the little dickens' are sick. You nailed this chapter right on the head, desy! Well done!
This is going along WONDERFULLY!! I love the new addition of Laura and the funny mix ups she's bringing...keep the updates coming!
I wonder if Logan realizes how strong his parental instincts really are. A few minutes ago, he would have gladly sliced Jean's hand off for touching him, but his daughter's sickness has him turning to that same backstabbing bitch for help. Not because he gives a damn about Jean, but because he's not going to let his grudges jeopardize his little girl's health. And that makes him a very good daddy. Nice chapter and so quick on the updates, too! Lucky us! --Wendie
As poor Laura she's sick :( so much like her father, always getting sick as a child. Is this gonna give Logan some mempry jolts? That would be interesting :)
Oh no, I hope everything's okay with Laura. :( Beautifully described, I really like reading Logan as a kind, attentive father. But really, poor little kid - you've done a great job showing how the lab affected her.
Awww love this chapter.
Hehe a blushing Wolvie.
Logan you don't have to understand Marie just love her :)
They have to work on the spit milk on Scott part ;)
Sex ed with Prof Logan - the best contraception ever :)
