Barely Legal Since 2000
"I said I wouldn't duck. I never said I wouldn't hit ya back." sounds like something my hubby would say!! Very well written, nicely done! Every woman should have a man like this in her life (especially the round 4 version!!)
Aww funny and adorably sweet. I think I just melted. That Logan, such a romantic.
I really needed this after unlikely bedfellows, unholy alliance - dark fic is all good - but I always need to follow up with at least 5 warm, gooey, light and/or porny fics ;) this definitely fit the bill!
Author's Response: Ha! I never thought of this as an antidote for 'Unlikely...' but it does serve that purpose nicely. And despite his rough upbringing and missing past, I have always seen Logan as a romantic. Maybe that's because I have also always seen him as Hugh Jackman, as I came into this world of Marvel only after I saw X1. Talk about head over heels... Anyway, thanks again! -- Wendie
I think you got their accents down very well. It was awesome.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for taking time to let me know you enjoyed this and that I got their accents right. It's such a dilemma -- deciding whether to write the accents or not -- but something about the playful nature of this bunny sort of lent itself to dialogue with accents as opposed to without. Thanks again. --Wendie
That was cute...I like playful Logan. Thanks for sharing. Now, to use the stars as explained.
Author's Response: Thank you! I like playful Logan, too, which made this enormous fun to write. I am really glad you liked it and took the time to let me know. --Wendie
Great work, would love a second part! Keep it up!
Author's Response: Oh, gosh, a second part, huh? Hmmm. I'll definitely give that some thought, but first there are a few other bunnies already queued up and waiting... Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed this. --Wendie
This was fantastic. I love dialouge stories-it takes real talent to get into the characters so perfectly, description is not needed. Good job.
Author's Response: I'm glad you found that the dialogue did all the 'storytelling' in this one. Sometimes when the muse arrives, all she brings is dialogue, so that's all I have to work with, which is OK when it's a whole new story, but when there are chapters of narrative that need writing and the chit-chat is all that shows up, well, that can be a real bitch. But something tells me you already know that. Thanks so much for letting me know you liked this. And if I haven't said it enough, I love, love, love your Science Geek Series. --Wendie
Love the idea of their travel without leaving the mansion's grounds.
Author's Response: Thanks! Truth is, I originally thought of this as a songfic for a Hall&Oates song called 'Getaway Car' and it was going to be set in the backseat of some really cool car Logan owned. But then the idea for her to be pregnant happened, maybe because somebody wrote this amazing story about Marie having a baby...and suddenly the car thing just didn't fit -- literally. I'm glad you liked this. --Wendie
i love it... it was beautiful in that wonderful Logan would do virtually anything for Marie way..
Author's Response: Thanks for letting me know you liked this. It hit me one day that with the right amount of control on both their parts, he would be able to actually share his memories with her on purpose, because he wanted to and not just as part of the effect of her mutation. He just waited until he had a really special memory to share with her to give it a try. --Wendie
LOL! i love the last line!
he could be her own walking travel channel.
and i love the line "Ya ain't touchin' mah overgrown boobs with frozen fingers"
Author's Response: Yeah, he definitely could be! But in their case, the 'trips' would have to be so short that instead of 'If it's Tuesday, it must be Belguim,' it would be more like 'If it's 10:15, it must be Belgium. If it's 10:16, it must be Tokyo. If it's 10:17,...' you get the idea. I'm glad you liked this one. --Wendie
Logan being all sweet and romantic and then bam..... "I said I wouldn't duck. I never said I wouldn't hit ya back." I love this line! talk about throw us back to the reality of hubbys the world over.....but then we had the three rounds and heading for number 4 and I realized we were definately back to fiction again ;) Great stuff x
Author's Response: Yeah, that healing factor would be awful handy in a real hubby, wouldn't it? And honestly, I did not plan for Logan to throw that snowball, but something about typing 'Splat' made me want to answer that sound with another, so then came 'Thunk' and then things 'snowballed' from there. Oh, that was awful...Consider me slapped. Thanks for letting me know you liked this. --Wendie
Everyone needs their own Logan. A great story loved it.
Author's Response: Oh, you are so right! That must be why we all write about him and read about him -- it's how we get to 'have' our own Logan. And if we don't quite like everything about the Logan we find in one story, we can always read a different one! Ain't fan fiction grand? Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed this one. --Wendie
Loved it! :D
Author's Response: Thanks! XD --Wendie
