This is a good retelling of these scenes from the film.

I especially liked: '...his nose never lied to him. She had to be around here somewhere.' Something about that struck me funny.

I am interested to see what you do with your 'throw together version', so I'll be back for future chapters. Might I suggest a beta reader? The word 'densification' threw me for quite a loop until I realized you meant 'disinfection'. That's just the sort of thing a beta reader would catch that we as authors are sometimes unable to see because we are 'too close' to the story. --Wendie
