oh wow. what an awesome chapter. the angst and the hawtness. gah, i hate having to wait, but it makes it so much more worth it.
Author's Response: Thank you!!!!!!! ....From now on, Im going to spell hot that way.
This story is awesome! The flashbacks of how they got together are so sweet and in complete opposition to the heartbreaking, gut-wrenching present. I really love the way you write their POVs - so realistic and compelling. This yet another great story that you have created, just like Heal Over and Science Geek Series.
I'm relieved that you are 85% (only 85%?!) sure of a happy ending. But, if you're still entertaining thoughts of tossing a coin to determine the outcome, then I've got a double-headed coin for you to use and I'm calling "heads" for a happy ending. ;)
Author's Response: Hey!! Thank you so so so so so much. This was the perfect thing to hear (read), since I always worry about a story the more time it takes for me to update. (Btw: finished latest chapter. You should see by tomorrow). >hugs tightly< Im incredibly grateful, and Im now 90% sure about that ending. Warning: its gonna get worse before it gets better.
this could be a really good movie!
Author's Response: Lol!!! Thank you! Im struggling with this next chapter, but you should see it by Saturday.
this could be a really good movie!
First of all, I already told you this in another fic review, but you write in a way you make us feel like we're inside the story. The interaction of the characters is so real that I feel like I’m actually seeing them. I also like the way you portrait Logan as a not-perfect human being doing things he might regret later but he can’t help (or dont wnt to) because his instincts.
My favorite part is when you write about the way they met and what happens after that, more than the miscarriage and the way Logan fucked up being with Jean (What a bitch!). But that’s just a personal opinion, the whole fic is real good. Keep with the good work! (Sorry for the spelling English is not my native language).
Author's Response: Thank you so, so, sooo much. This was the perfect thing to hear; I was really struggling with this fourth chapter. >hugs, squeals<
This is brilliant. I love how you give flashbacks and both points of view. At first it was confusing but then I got used to the patterns... I love where this is going. I wanna know how she lost the baby and how long he's going to be gone and if she goes batshit fucking insane without him...
Author's Response: >squeals< Thanks!! I'm thrilled that you feel that way....And, if it helps, you'll find an explanation of the format & different symbols in the notes of the first chapter. (It goes: Marie present, Logan present, Marie past, Logan past.)
Wow! A story with two halves! First half - intense, shocking and incredibly strong. Poor Logan - I really felt for him. Second half - sweet, touching and sexually powerful. Logan in love makes for one of the best story-lines! I am so loving this story - please continue!
Author's Response: I know. As you can see from the first chapter, each chapter is supposed to have two halves. But I would have been bleeding out my eyes if I had tried to type up the previous segments together-they were just too long. But anyhoo, thank you so, so much for this. >hugs, gives cupcake with white chocolate & sprinkles<
I love this chapter so much that I felt a loss when I reached the end. In fact, I adore this entire story and I think I'm going to go back to the start and read it again, just to keep me going until you can update.
The way you describe her pain in the beginning is incredible, for example - "My lips part and a black bile rises up from the wound, spill out into the air like poison."
"Wait. Does he--does he actually think I'm capable of talking? I can't remember where my vocal chords are, let alone how to use them." - and that is precisely how I'd feel if Logan had just kissed me. If only... ;-)
""Kid." Probably not the best choice of nicknames right now." - true, but adorable all the same.
"Marie is with her friend Jubilee. That irritating loudmouth who drives him up a wall in practice. He'd known Brooklyn hookers who were less shrill" - hahahahahaha!
Okay, I'll stop quoting your entire story, try to stop feeling jealous that I can't write as amazingly as you, and wrap up this review:
Love it!
Author's Response: Hmm...I don't think cupcakes are enough. Would you care for a first born? Lol. Thank you so much. And btw: I've read alot of your stuff, and you are an excellent writer.
Just now I'm sorry I can read english but can't write it correctly.
I would like to say how much I love your story. Please, please, more.
Author's Response: >hugs< Thank you so much for reviewing. I love you for it! Next update: Saturday.
i think u r been realitic with the characters. rogue been upset the miscarage and jean's betrayal, just made her say stuff she did not mean.now logan is broken too. as for that bitch jean i hope she gets wots coming to her
Author's Response: Thank you. "Realistic" is the best adjective a writer can hear. :-)
Hey! Just love it so far! I almost cried my eyes out reading the first part of the chapter...The way you describe Logan and Marie's respective pained points of view just works for me.
Still I wonder how the baby came to "happen", as they used a condom...Something you want to tell the readers in the next chapter? Can't wait to read for more!
Author's Response: Thanks uber much, I'm so glad you like it. But I'm afraid anything I say about the "happening" will spoil it. But I promise, I'm not making it up as I go. ;-)
I just read what you have written so far! Its heartbreaking! I really really hate Jean. I really hope Logan figures out what she is doing before he leaves. What a horrible woman to take advantage of both Logan and Marie's agony over losing their baby. Please let one of them figure it out before its too late. Love the alternating views on this too. Its really sexy and sweet at the same time.
Author's Response: Oh, mess. >hugs, dances< Thanks a whole bunch for this. It takes longer, but I really like doing both POV's. You couldn't see the whole story without it. And I agree; Jean really needs to get punched in the face. Hmmmm...>plots<
Invisible cupcakes! Not only did you write a great chapter, but you just came up with a desert that won't make me & my scale hate myself tomorrow. You're a genius :)
I have to say that I personally like how you divided up the chapter. I'm a "give me the bad news first" kind of girl, so I enjoyed ending with a sweeter memory of theirs. Hate what they're going through in "real time" though, but stoked that there's an 85% chance of some happiness.
I also have to say that when it comes to capturing emotions & the mental frailty of anyone in these circumstances, you couldn't do any better. The miscommunication, overwhelming inability to process anything, desperate need to just shut down. It's all there & as usual for you, written quite well :)
Author's Response: Oh my god, Marry me! (Lmao)....Thank you. It was either a cupcake or a kitten, but I figured ya'll wouldn't have to deal with invisible hairballs with this....I'm glad you liked the format. I didn't want reader to think I was skipping ahead, and like you said, I leave off with a smile so things werent entirely miserable....Again thank you, so much. >hugs< I really appreciate it.
Love, love, love it! More please!
Author's Response: Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'll try for a update by Saturday.
Another wonderful chapter. I really like how you retell the same part of the story from both sides, I find it incredibly insightful and I love knowing exactly what they're both thinking at the same exact time. I also love that they keep assuming the wrong thing about the other person, it's so well written.
Fave line: "You wanna hold this for me?" I think I awww'd out loud, it was so sweet!
As always I'm waiting on the edge of my seat for updates :)
Author's Response: Muchas Gracias. >hugs, gives labrador< I've got a huge grin on my face. I'm so glad you like it. Next update...Saturday-ish.
Oh, I loved this chapter so, so much, it made my heart warm and my skin tingle. Rogue is perfectly portrayed; so unsure of herself and reading between the lines of every situation (like all girls do, I guess). The way you write their differing interpretations of each scene is brilliantly done and I just adored the way you described their first kiss, so perfect depicted. I know I am gushing, but I feel like I can’t praise this chapter enough.
Fav lines:
“He just needs to stop--get them out of this confined space, to somewhere the air doesn't taste so much like her.”
“Scooter doesn't remember that territory disputes go out the window the moment the alpha dog shows up.” – haha!
And now I’m off to google the ‘love calculator’...
Author's Response: Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!! >continues to squeal happily< And you can always, always gush. I've said it before, but I was worried about this chapter; I didnt think people would like it. Thank you so much. You're pimpalicious. And I'm about to go buy more pens, so I can started on the next section. (Shorter, quicker, and hopefully better).
I absolutely love this story! God, I wish I could write like this - it's so beautifully written and full of everything that makes the relationship between Logan and Marie so special. The words you use are so descriptive that I actually feel as though I'm there - and that I could just reach out and touch the characters. Amazing talent! Please continue, because I really need to know why Logan stopped - the fool!!
Author's Response: I had been kinda worried/unsatisfied with this chapter. Im so glad you liked it. >hugs< Thank you. This made me feel alot better.
STOPS?? STOPSS? GAAAAAAAH... *implodes*
grrr
Author's Response: Ive never been happier to see someone implode. Thank you!
Stops?! no i don't think that i agree with that decision. xXx
Author's Response: Lol. Neither do I. >pulls out notebook and pen<
Yay! I missed this! Absolutely well worth the wait. I like how you can see the beginnings of their history with miscommunication - her insecurity w/ her fighting & how impressed he is with her.
You capture their POVs so perfectly. So he strips down before she knocks on his door, eh? Hmm. I'd wake up early for that too.
Favorite line: "The bigger question is: why would she choose a story that makes her cry, over a man who never would?" Direct, simple, & heartbreaking. Although I'm greedy, I'll manage another long wait if you keep churning out awesomeness like this!
Author's Response: Omg. >hugs very very very very very tightly< I can't tell you how glad I was to read this. I stressed a bit over this one. Thank you...and I think you'll see the next update in a week. >winces, knocks on wood<
new chapter soon. really really soon. pretty please?
Author's Response: Thanks so much, that is really encouraging. Im guestimating the next update should come Friday/Saturday-ish.
God, I just love this story! So beautifully written and full of emotion! I am so glad Logan didn't give in to Jean - she's such a cold-hearted bitch!
Please, please continue - my life is bereft without this story!
Author's Response: Lol! >screams happily at computer< I think thats one of the most awesome things I've ever been told. You made my day. Thanks.
I second the motion to have Jean tossed out the Blackbird. But, this story is GREAT! so angsty and filled with emotion. Looking forward to seeing where you're gonna go with this.
Author's Response: Lol. I'll try. Maybe a car crash?
jesus, i think i ran out of tissue. *sobs*
Author's Response: Sorry!!! >hands roll of toilet paper< Wanna borrow my Teddy Bear?
This is so full of angst it has left me feeling wretched inside. Honestly, I’m going to have to find a funny story to read or eat a big bar of chocolate or something to make me feel happy again! What amazing writing to have that effect. I LOVE this story!
Fave line: His cheek resting on her hair, which smells like everything else in this room-sadness.
I can’t wait for more...
Author's Response: Ohh!! I'm so sorry. >hugs, hands brownie< I wish I could have had part 2 ready; its much much happier. If it helps, that'll be up soon and I'll inject lots of kittens and smiles.
