Author's Response: Hey, every once in a while it's okay to lay off Jean, I swear! Plus, I figured that doing that people could take it as they did it because she died, if they wanted to make this story apply to post X2 or X3, even though my intent was to make it a post X1 AU in which everyone was actually happy, not dead. I really hate X3.

I can SOOO see Logan doing EXACTLY this to any prospective boyfriend of his daughter's!! It's just perfect! (Of course, the tune is now stuck pereptually in my head, but with the accompanying pictures of flashing adamantium, I don't much mind!)

This is just precious! Outstandingly so. I wouldn't change a thing. And I love the subtle references to Logan's past (Jimmy) and to a non-hostile relationship with the late (I assume) Jean Grey. Well done. --Wendie
Author's Response: Thanks! Actually, I did base this as an AU starting from X1. I figured that people could take it as they would as to whether the people the kids were named after were alive or not. Even Charlotte--it's a feminine form of Charles! :-) I also just had this little devil inside me whisper, "Well, wouldn't it be cute to do a fic when the kids were really young now?" Hmmm...maybe later.
