The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
Hugs to you for your loss.
Linda and saddened Wolvie Muse.
Author's Response: Thank you.
Can we go to Hooters, pwetty please. They have good hot wings and hockey... Hey I'm just askin'.
Don't listen to him. Nobody goes to Hooters for the wings.
But she said, Anyhooters...
Back to my review... I loved how Logan tried to be so tender here. Just wondering why he didn't call Ice Queen Jean? If Xavier kept any tabs, maybe she could mysteriously show up.
Oh... If she's the Ice Queen maybe Bobby should take her to his Senior prom. They'd win King and Queen easily.
Linda and a horny Wolvie Muse.
Oh and yes, I love a drowning Jean. It gives me warm fuzzies.
My Marie and Rogue Muses find her drowning bittersweet.
On one hand it makes them happy that it means she's free to go after Logan but they don't like that he still gets upset over her loss.
Linda
Author's Response: Gotta say, I'm very jealous of your multiple personalities/muses/thingies. So much better than mine.
I'll take a naked Hugh naughtily licking a lolly pop while a puppy brings him a beer.
If you can pull that off, I'll plant a pretty rose in my garden after you.
I'll take a naked Marie with a cold Molson if ya have any to spare darlin'.
Linda and My Wolvie Muse.
Author's Response: Okay, three cheers and a medium-to-large parade to you for putting *that* image in my head. Thanks.
OMG... Love, love, love this chapter. I love it when I get to read about Logan taking care of Marie/Rogue because it seems so unnatural to me.
I know that he should take care of his mate as a feral but I don't expect him to be so kind and gentle. I expect that a lot I guess from Marie/Rogue
because I feel she is naturally nurturing. I guess I'm weird that way.
Hell yeah, that f*cker got what he deserved. Next!
Linda and a much satisfied killer Wolvie Muse.
Author's Response: >hugs< Thank you. It's great to wake up to so many amazing, funny reviews.
Lemme at those soon to be dead motherf*ckers so I can kill em.
Nobody hurts my Marie and lives.
I'd give you one of my kidneys but mine don't work so well.
I read this chapter and I wanna just hug em both.
Oh and I love Logan's food agression issues. Makes me want to go through my vet assistant training notes for plot bunnies.
Linda and My Wolvie Muse.
Author's Response: Aww, thank you sooooooo much. Got a big grin at this.
Seems like Logan doesn't know that mutant slave trafficing could be right under his nose.
I found some spelling errors but I'm not so an*lly retentive to point em all out. Unless you want me to.
But I figure it's after 3am, so I'm giving us both a break.
Linda
Author's Response: Oh, yes. Please tell me. Nothing makes me want to bang my head against the wall more than a missed typo.
I love how Logan is getting attached even though he doesn't wanna admit it to himself...Yet he knows the answers.
How about One Eye in the shower with a bottle of shampoo with Nair in it? Honest mistake if he grabs what he thinks is the right bottle, especially if both are in the same shower.
Linda and My Wolvie Muse
Author's Response: HA!!! If you're on WRbeta, you should totally post that foof bunny. Bet you'll have lots of takers.
You're right. I reviewed and read chapter 4. Then I finally let Wolvie carry me to bed at 5:00am. I thought I'd reread chapter 4 and keep reviewing since its past 2:00am and I'm getting the party started.
Linda and My Wolvie Muse (Who is currently MIA hunting for a Molson.)
Ps. Don't worry. I can sleep through my dialysis later. I have to sit still 4 hours so I can have happy Rogan dreams.
Author's Response: Dang, I'm jealouse. Wish Wolvie would carry *me* to bed. Or to couch. Or to any semi-flat surface.
Brilliant. Again. With your penchant for unflinching honesty, you actually went there and used the regularity of her cycle to show us that she's getting healthier as well as to torture Logan with the knowledge that she is, physically at least, no longer a child. And what better occasion to use to indicate the passing of time than her sixteenth birthday? Love Logan's gift, by the way. And his inability to leave her -- for ANY reason -- makes him probably my most favoritest Logan of all time. He will most definitely be my favorite for all eternity if when the time comes he lets her know somehow that she is more than worth the very, very, very looooooong wait. --Wendie
Author's Response: Didn't think today could get any better (had my birthday party) but coming home to this made it absolutely, 100%, over the moon perfect. Thank you so very much!! (Very, very, very is right. This beast is five months in the making, can you believe that?)
I saw no typos, and the tension rising in Logan was beautifully expressed, well done! More please!
Author's Response: Really? That's a relief. Thank you, and Merry Christmas!!
Ugh... I'm up at after 4:30am reading this because I can't stop. I must sleep now.
Don't worry, I'll watch over her.
Wolverine and a very tired, sleepy Linda.
Author's Response: Oh, bless your heart. 4:30?!!! >hugs tightly< Thank you. Have a wonderful Christmas.
Oh my gawd! Just beautiful in its own freakish way. Your descriptions are so wonderful. It's like I'm reading a comic book. Sorry, make that graphic novel.
Linda.
Author's Response: Haha!! This put a huge smile on my face. Thanks.
Wow... I can only hope to aspire to your greatness in description and design.
I absolutely loved Heal Over and I can't wait to dig into the delicious fare before me at the feast on your table.
Heh, burned rubber and carrots. I like that.
Linda and My Wolvie Muse.
Author's Response: **AAAAAAWWWWWWWW!!!** Thank you, thank you so much. I am unimaginably glad you feel that way.
Yesss this chapter is finally here and If I could express myself well (something my writing skills wont let me) I would tell you how great it is with details included like some other reviewers do. You're taking this story to a perfect path and I can't wait to see what happens in the next chapter and the closure of this all. Oh and I LOVE chapters with lots of scenes!! I hope you make a super long last chapter and an epilogue as well :D
Marry Christmas to you too and I'm sure Santa will give you nice things you've been real good this year writing one of the most awesome rogan fics ever!
Author's Response: Oh, lord. I'm sorry, thought I'd already replied to this. I know I certainly danced over it. A thousand thank yous for this. You've been a great friend this year; you're guaranteed whatever is on that list of yours.
:) (dont know how to do a massive happy smiley face doing a happy dance but that is what i wanted to do!)
wonderful as usual. Full marks especially for the non kiss and her ease with it.
Merry Christmas, have a good one x
Author's Response: Is this the happy dance your thinking of?.... *<}:~D->O< or this....<(..<)(>..)>^(. .)^ or this...\\:D/? (Got curious, did some googling.) Thank you--short or long, your reviews are awesome.
I'd ask Santa, but he's been ignoring me since I started sending him all those lists begging for Hugh Jackman.
That fat bastard has been ignoring me for the same reason. I mean really, it's not like I wouldn't share or anything. Eventually. For bragging purposes. You understand, I'm sure.
~Mia
Author's Response: I'm sure we could figure out some kind of joint-custody thing. I mean, a girl's gotta sleep, right?
I'm curious about this skin scrub. Is there much to putting it together, or just a matter of mixing until the consistency is right? :)
Also, you don't have to ask, I'll always review. :D I've been checking back every day (sometimes a few times a day) even though I'm so busy studying! Thank you for making my last study night happier. *glomp* :D
Merry Christmas (or, Happy Holidays if you prefer) and thank you for the chapter! I'm super curious how it will end.
Author's Response: Oh, no. It's the simplest thing in the world. Just get a cup of sugar, add half as much vegetable oil as your sugar and stir until it has a nice consistency, and add whatever other ingredients are available. You're skin has never felt so smooth--its terrific. :~D And so is this review; its what I'll be reading any time the writer's block hits. Thank you!!!!!!
:D
That up there is my first reaction. I barely got through the rest of your email & was practically salivating once you mentioned Oh, chapter 18 is up.
This sounds weird, but since we're all in the same WRFA boat I'm just gonna say it: I loved the sniffing scene. I'd take a well-described sniff than a poorly written kiss in Rogan fics.
I tink you executed the whole age explanation very very well. It fit in seamlessly - all your agonizing paid off (sorry if my confusion about the passage of time played a part :/ )
Just one chapter left?!?! *pouts*
I'm super excited to see how you're planning on ending this & just what ol' Buckethead has to do with things.
Author's Response: >falls on knees< OhmyGODD *Thank* you. Oh, thankyouthankyouthankyou!!!! Been going crazy over that age thing, absolutely bonkers....This review, like all your others, is packed with pure Sahara awesome goodness. Thank you. >hugs<
wow, the story just keeps getting better and better. your writing just pulls the reader straight into the story, really connects with the characters. i adore how you write logan too, especially the glimpses into his thoughts and feelings for rogue. he's so wonderful with her, too.
i'm curious how rogue feels about logan now, if she's slowly starting to develop romantic feelings for him or if it's still too soon for her. i'm hoping she does and doesn't fall for bobby or someone else, i think that might break logan's heart. anyway, once more, AMAZING update. please write more soon so i can feed my fix! ;-)
Author's Response: Thank you--reviews like yours are *my* fix. Way better than chocolate. I think, or hope--if I get it right-- you're questions will be answered in the next chapter. You're awesome, as always. Merry Christmas!
And Merry Christmas to you!! And please, please, stop making those little braking marks on my heart. This story is beautiful. And for my Christmas present, I want a happy ending.
Author's Response: Hmmm....Think I could do that, but it probably won't get to you in time for Christmas--do you know how hard happy endings are to ship? But I'll try, especially after a sweet review like this one. ;~D
Having found myself with 5 mins peace and quiet (which in this household is about as common as seeing Santa) I realized that although I have read this chapter I have not reviewed. (I am presuming I had a good reason – you probably made me late for work again as most of the update days for this story make me!!) anyway….. I shall now rectify my mistake and beg forgiveness for lateness.
I’m going to have to pick out a few things that stood out for me, probably different from everybody elses (as usual) but to me it’s the attention to detail and more to the point the way you write them that make this so much more than a just a fantastic story.
‘a few occasional drops of excess paint on the canvas's otherwise repetitive pattern. A predictability that she wanted badly to trust.’ Can’t tell you how much I love this – right at the start and hits you like a ton of bricks – superb.
Her breath didn’t falter or hitch or any of the things 99.9% of writers would have written ‘Her breath tripped over itself.’
‘How shocking, that the latter was stronger. Much.’ – that it’s shocking to be almost comfortable has a sadness to it yet it’s full of hope too – again love that line.
‘It would not have mattered half as much to him if it did not matter to her.’ I think we can sum up the whole story with that line x
Protectiveness, possessiveness and jealousy at the beach - some great one liners in there btw. (the aloe vera, daring to keep smiling in the face of the wolverine, breathless pussy, as if hairless was a thing to be proud of.)
Loved the Last two chapters - yet again from beginning to end a wonderful chapter.
I really must make these shorter ;)
Author's Response: This is the first thing I saw after coming in from work, probably the best welcome-home. I'm almost glad that it came "late", such a great surprise. Thank you for taking time from the chaos and for general awesome-possumness.
i've been keeping up with your story for some time now, and now i had to register to finally tell you, how cruelly sweet you are going about logan and his girl! i especially like the way you are slowly zooming in on their relationship! first fic i've read with a bitchy jubilee, and your logan is absolutely awesome!
Author's Response: Yay! Thank you, thankyouthankyouthankyou! I'm so honored to hear that. Welcome to the WRFA!!
so now, i have reached the end point, so far.
I have to say, i love this story... especially your version of Logan here. Almost reluctant than dependent. can't wait for more
Author's Response: Thank you, a billion katrillion jillion times. So glad you feel that way.
Ah! That's the suspicion I came to sometime last night while I was trying to sleep. :)
Author's Response: Lmao! I'm glad. :~D
