Best chapter yet, (although they are all brilliant!). I just love how you build up their interaction and relationship so slowly and carefully, ever so thoughtfully.
“If she wanted to eat, she was going to sit her ass inside and talk to him. Like he was normal. Like he was capable of doing a good thing.” – oh, what an amazing insight into Logan’s mind.
And as for the end, once again you manage to break my heart. Poor, poor little Rogue. I wish I could give her a hug and tell her Logan will take care of her! (And that’s when I have to remind myself they are not real people – lol!)
I look forward to the next update, as ever...

Am loving the questioning and excuses for why he’s doing what he’s doing/for each step he takes/ for his concern. Your Logan – inside and out, really is a pleasure to read.

Loving both story and style, having said that you really do have to stop doing this to me, you’re evil! In a really nice, clever but twisted way!! Talk about knowing when to stop or not as is the case for us readers! I actually swore at you (will appologise only when next chappie is up) it’s all your fault anyway, if it wasn’t for you I’d have patiently waited till you’d finished it but oh no you had to get me chapter reading didn’t you.....well I hope your pleased with yourself!!!!!!!!

This was one of my favorite chapters because their relationship is beginning to grow and loved the way you wrote it. But geez poor Marie :( I hope Logan makes it all better. I know you're busy but please update as soon as possible

This story has had my attention from Ch. 1. Each chapter just gets better. Your writing style is wonderful with just the right pace. My only complaint is the wait between updates. You are killing me. Keep up the superb work!! I love this story!

That amount of crimson beneath the zipper really worries me. Especially given the tone of danger and the bend of her father character. I'll just go boil some water, shall I? You can decide if it should be used to clean wounds or inflict them.
This chapter was nearly poetic in its stark bleakness. Yet for all its despair and gloom, the glimpse of grudging...something, is beautiful in all its awkward undefined grace. Thank you for the poignancy of your words.

Hi there,
You’ve gotten me engrossed in another one of your works, as usual ;). It’s an interesting take on Logan here, his work is a little more nitty-gritty, less glossed over than how I’ve come to associate what he does, but, it’s Logan, I see it, and it works. I think mostly b/c you can see his humanity, what he’s doing resonates within him..and that’s what makes me care. And, poor Marie, I end up saying poor Marie a lot in my reviews for your stories, lol, what happened to her in Heal Over haunted me after I read it, and this has too..so I’m hoping things end up good, or your version of a Rogan good, which works just fine for me. You always have this underlying thread of love and healing in your works, it works so well for these two damaged souls, I just wanted to say you do it amazingly well, with the simplest, subtlest tone..it’s a reading pleasure, thank you.

Oh, how do you write something so heart-rending it makes me squirm away from my laptop? (And I mean that as a compliment to your amazing writing). I almost can't bear Rogue's predicament, I want to sweep her away from that awful life and make everything okay. But I guess (hope!) that’s what our hunky growliness is going to do, in his own unique way...? :-)

Unfortunately what your Marie is going through hits too close to my work life so even though it's so well written, I'm going to bypass pondering those parts & O.D. on Logans instead. So could I borrow your Logan for a bit? Yours is my favorite & I know you need him to write, but I promise I'll return him...eventually...in the same condition...more or less...

I just can't get enough of this story. To have that kind of a background, its no wonder that she eventually has a power that literally does not allow unwanted people to touch her. I love Logan's inner conflict. I love how Marie has desensitized herself of almost everything but the barter process. Some things are just more painful than others. if anything, the fact that she can feel such emotion proves to herself that she is a human being and not an animal.

I have such empathy for her. This story has seriously tugged at my heartstrings. And Im not ready for it to be over. EVER.

Sorry for not replying and letting you know the number of the Wolverine comic you asked for, but once again life intruded upon my fantasy world! (We're decorating!!) Anyway, thankfully annie77 sorted out the issue number problem! It's a great story, check it out!
Once again, this was an awesome chapter and I feel hugely sorry for Marie. You managed to fill her back-story with such detail that it was easy to see the grubby little apartment with the mind's-eye and to imagine her horror at what her father has been doing to her. You have incredible talent and I am in awe!
Looking forward to the next chapter!

“Reasonably happy with it, hope you are too” – well, extreme understatement there!
‘(at least, the few she had been unable to avoid going into)’ I love this line, there’s such a powerful message there, a great set up for what we were about to find out. Also loved the end line ‘the irony of being so close to her home and being homeless, of having a mother and a father but no parents.’
Great stuff as usual, loving it all.
Sorry it’s a short one but off on hols tomorrow and it’s past my bedtime - if that means I’m a pansy too then so be it!
