I hope you will return to this fic someday, even though it’s been a while. Love it!
Really enjoyed this chapter!! And I hope you plan to update...
The plot thickens...
Please share an update soon!!!!
Love it so far!!
(I can see uses for art history as I and getting my doctorate in it and teach it in a few colleges... ;P)
Off to read the next part!
Hee hee hee: >>>“You can never leave us, Rogue. We’re complete now.”
Author's Response: Kitty likes to break things down into simple concepts. It helps Jubilee understand them better ;) Thanks for reading!
Some of my favorite usage of quotes here. I loved the mingling in of them. Also, I want to do very bad things to Donovan just for calling Rogue an It. Is that okay with you or do you have something special planned?
~Mia
Author's Response: I do have something planned, but he's enough of an asshole that I'm fine with everyone else ganging up on him too. So, do your worst, Mia!
fabulous! my fave quote is definitely the little candle one! beautifully incorporated quotations as usual!
Author's Response: Thank you! I had to dig for awhile to find something that I liked. That one turned out to be my favoriet too.
Hehe, this was a great chapter.
I can sense the beginnings of luuurve starting to brew :)
Author's Response: :)
So glad to see updates to this wonderful story again. I'm so stoked for future updates! Keep it going!
Author's Response: I'm just thrilled that you're still along for the ride! Thanks for not giving up on this/me!
LOL I LOVE THAT! Marie beat him using himself! (Does that even make sense?)
Author's Response: Makes total sense. And that's what I was thinking when I wrote it. Is this crazy? Nah.
I love that Marie put Bobby in his place! Overconfident little prick.
Author's Response: I felt bad because he is somewhat overconfident but I don't think he completely deserved that much of a dressing down. He just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Mt. Marie was about to blow and he was the trigger. Thanks for reading!
Aw, poor Marie. I hope the Professor can help wean her off of the music!
that's so freaking awesome rogue beat logan! and i love all the little moments where we get to see him falling for her. like how he felt when she smiled or his desire to give her what she needs. i wonder if her bday trip to bar will speed things along for the two of them. great job!
Author's Response: It was about time someone beat Logan. Can't have him winning all the time! Thanks for reading. Glad you're liking it.
Daddy dearest is a piece of work. I figured, though, that he was where Rogue got her poker skills from. You always give me happiness from your words.
~Mia
Author's Response: Don't I know it about her dad. What's funny is that, when I first started writing this, I really had no plans to have John-David or Mary in the story except for the beginning. The thing is, this story has morphed into so many things in my head that I sat down one day and reworked the whole plot and bam, there they were. I think I've developed such a hatred of them both over the course of writing this that they forced their way into it so their nastiness could ooze out. Mary isn't completely innocent in all this, but John-David is definitely the driving force. Anyway, I just do what the bunnies tell me and hope that no one (well, no one we care about anyway) gets hurt in the process.rnrnThanks for reading! Your reviews always make me smile!rn
Every single detail you add just blends seamlessly into the story, the poker, the Vicks all of it just adds to my enjoyment, can't hardly wait til we get to some Logan/Marie lovin', there will be eventual lovin'? right.....?
Author's Response: Oh my God, Thank you for saying that about the detail. That's one of the hardest things for me to do. Every time I add something, I agonize over whether it fits with the characters/is necessary to the story. It's harder too because I've read so many different versions of these characters that almost anything could fit if you meshed them all together. Thank you for reading and always letting me know you appreciate the updates! I love to hear from people. And we'll find out about the lovin' eventually. These characters are just going to take their sweet time getting places...
This story is amazing I can't wait to read more of it! I love when Rogue is written in this way.
Author's Response: Thanks! I love some crazy Rogue too.
Every time you update I have to go back and read from the beginning just to savor it a bit longer.
Truly one of my top 5 favorite works on here, I love how you are slowly building the trust between Logan and Marie, and the foreshadowing has be aching for more!
Author's Response: You scare me when you say that because I went back through to rearead all of this and found so many mistakes that I wanted to bury my head in the sand from shame. Thank you for always reviewing (and kicking me in the ass if I need it) and for making me feel totally awesome about myself. I continue writing for you and the few others who seem to like this enough to follow it over the eight million years that it's taking me to write it. Thank you for being amazingly sweet. Kiss Kiss. rnrn(P.S- I thought they deserved a nice slow connection instead of the sometimes rushed one that we read about. Also, I don't think Rogue's in a good enough place mentally to just fall into trusting people without the addition of time.)
Beautiful. And the hints of danger and malice and foreshadowing foreboding that you apply to each chapter can be downright eerie. Every chapter I go away with even more questions than before and ever so much interest in their answering outcome. Bounty hunter guy, what is he doing to track her down? Will he be bringing a big bag of hell to New York? Remy is so going to get sucked into the underbelly of something nasty, isn't he? I'm guessing that he's investigating the not so random and perfectly acceptable explained disappearances, no? Are you going to set Marie's parents on fire or simply skin them alive and roll them in salt? Too graphic? Or will they simply walk away from this in a high righteous snoot?
~Mia
Author's Response: I don't think I'm allowed to set them on fire or skin them alive. I'm sure Logan would beat me too it... Thanks for reading. I like to know that I'm keeping people interested in the story and that you're sticking with me!
Loved to see this update, absolutely love that Logan is helping Marie come out of her shell a little bit.
Author's Response: Thank you for the review! I love to know that people are still reading this and enjoying it. And I'm glad he's helping her too. Someone needs to. She's been through an awful lot...
I can't wait to see some Logan via Norbert interaction. Love this story!
OMG, I love this story. So glad I'm getting a chance to read it again...
Is it weird that I imagine Logan toting the stuffed animal through the mansion and it makes him even more attractive? It's weird, right? Don't care. I find it sexy as hell. Makes me want to do naughtybadfun things with/to him. Ahem, yes well... I meant to review on the entirety of this fulfilling moving right along chapter. Got sidetracked, what do you want?
~Mia
p.s. I always love your words. Thought you ought to know.
Author's Response: I loved the thought of the big, sometimes rough guy hauling around a fluffy little rabbit. I don't know why exactly, but it works. Thanks. You make me smile every day!
YES!!! YES YES YES!!!
I am indescribably in love with this story and I had to do a double take when I saw it on the front page...and then I squealed so loud my husband looked over at me.
Amazing, I love you, and now Im going to go read back from the beginning!
Author's Response: :)
Yeeeesss! I was missing this story so much. And enter the bounty hunter or whatever guy? Woohoo! Woohoohoo! Ahem. Yes. Well, felicitations on your triumphant return and your sparkling disjointed wit, madam.
~Mia
Author's Response:
Thank you thank you thank you! For 1) not giving up on me 2) letting me know you're happy I'm back 3) still reading and taking the time to review
It really has been a while, I had almost forgotten this story, but this caught me right back up. Great addition, keep it up please.
Author's Response: I know! It's been so long, that I've almost forgotten it and I'm the one writing it! Thanks for reviewing and for sticking with the story. I missed writing but it just took me a long time to get back in the saddle.
