Gah! There is *so* much going on here and it's all amazing. Your plot is insane in the best way possible. I love, love, love that you jump into the minds of other characters, while, of course, staying truest to Wolverine/Rogue. You've got some killer one-liners in here, as always. Can't wait for more!

There is so much awesome in this. This part is genius:
Didn't mean she wanted to see the man dead, though, and walking in hand in hand with his supposed killer … her mouth twitched. Awkward.
And poor Hank, having to do Xavier's autopsy. And Phoenix using Xavier's body to punch him...ouch.
Still a little fuzzy on what happened (e.g. who killed Charles) but hoping I'm meant to be and it'll be clearer later. And I can't wait to see how Rogue responds.

Oh, surprise! :-D SO delighted it'S up, and it's become an excellent chapter! Great you took the time for Emma/Dying Xavier interaction - very imaginative, very dramatic, lots of condecsed story and characterisation. We are all looking forward to the next chapter by this wonderful author... ;-)

Aw, poor Gil. Snuggling with his dead mother, and having to leave his friends behind. This line was very touching: "Here, he had learned to sleep deeply, and eat slowly, and laugh out loud." I loved Rogue coming to Logan's rescue, even as pissed as she was. I can't say I'm entirely clear on what's going on, but I don't think I'm supposed to be...yet.
Author's Response: Hmmm,I'm hoping things will crystallise at some point! Sometimes I do tend to forget that what lives in my head and one comes out on paper aren't the same thing ... can make things obscure at times. Glad you liked Gil; I don't usually like to waste time on OCs, or even secondary characters, but he grabbed me for some reason. And I figure chaps without Rogan smut need some character development :D

I'm so glad that you came back to this. Very dark and complicated story you have here. The relationship between Logan and Marie is very compelling and I wonder if they will come through the end of this intact.
BTW, I'm glad that Logan took out Magneto. If that makes me bloodthirsty for seeing that as a positive, then so be it.
I'm bracing myself for what I expect will be a wild ride to the end. Looking forward to the rest.
Author's Response: I tend to veer towards the dark, especially with these characters. (Who am I kidding? I'm thinking about writing Glee atm and THAT is veering towards the dark!) But srsly, I rarely buy Logan as light and fluffy, and while Rogue is easier, she is still a girl with a huge burden to resolve, no matter how you write her.rnrnLogan and Magneto - I ENJOYED that. I may have fucked up the dramatic progression, but I just wanted him GONE. :DrnrnAnd yes, probably will be a fairly wild ride over the next three chapters. LOOONG chapters!rn

Well. I must say you have a fantastic story here, one that holds great emotion and power. I had always skimmed over it before because I thought that I had already read it. I was surprised when I clicked on it by accident and learned that I didn't.
I think you did a great job with this story, and I loved the background story on Wolverine and Rogue. They have such a complicated and intense relationship.
I love this new story line, and I encourage you to continue. I look forward to an update and maybe some more Rogan smut.

Author's Response: Maybe I was a little obscure there ... Eric and the Professor went up against Emma and whoever it was Kevin Bacon played in the Xmen First Class. So this is basically looping right back to that.
