The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
Quite melancholic. Their positions are easy to understand. Poor Rogue.
I liked this a lot! I thought this idea was really interesting: it occurred to him that it was a kind of unintentional conditioning, what he’d put her through. Like Rogue just develops a learned helplessness instead of coming to terms with his frequent absences. Good writing, keep it up!
Well, for me, there can never be enough good fic, so I'd argue this one isn't finished. But I will admit it's a lovely, poignant standalone piece that is quite complete in itself. I would, however, be keen to see Logan grow, move past that place where he realises what he is doing, but hasn't got the will not to do it. That would be a nice part two ... if you're inclined.
Wow. That was very powerful, you really managed to convey the pain Marie's parents and friends caused her when they found out about her mutation. You also expressed Logan's fury at her misery very, very well - I could almost hear his claws itching to come out.
All in all, very well written - I really enjoyed this. :)
Another interesting and unique perspective on Logan and Marie's relationship. He can't remember and she can't forget. The past, remembered or not, is what drives them both...and, in this story at least, it's also what drives them apart.
Oh, and yes, I think you're done. Not that I wouldn't like to read more of your work...but this one is so beautifully wrapped, it doesn't need anything else. --Wendie
