I reviewed on fanfic before I came across your author page that said you were actually located over here.
I absolutely love this. It's such a beautiful description of the madness that consumes her. Each word is perfect. Each sentence falls upon the soul and makes it ache. Truly a masterpiece.

I do have another couple of darker/more literary-ish pieces like this in the works (after I finish my work in progress Feral) so I hope you will enjoy those as well.

I tried to leave a review this morning but for some reason the website was having problems. My review was pretty long so it's probably a good thing it got banished into the Internet limbo! You are on another authors favorites list who I really enjoy and I am so happy she led me to you. This story defies description. So haunting and beautiful and real

The rest of what I've written in this fandom is mostly fluff, but I do have a couple of darker, more "literary" pieces like this in the works. I hope you'll enjoy them as well once they're finished.

That is freakin' intense... Sad, so sad. Especially: "I weighed his body and sank it in the harbor. His heart was still beating. I wonder if it will ever stop." I was in fact speechless for a good ten minutes after reading this (just know that very few things can claim to have that power over me and my big mouth).

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the kind review. Inspiring speechlessness is definitely high praise in my book too :). Ya know, I almost copped out and wrote a happy ending where Marie took back her body and they lived happily ever after. But it just felt wrong. This ending practically wrote itself. Guess that makes me a sick fuck, but oh well, heh.

I had to read this several times. First because I was completely thrown. Second because it hurt so much to read that I needed to develop a callous to be able to read it a third time in order to truly enjoy how you brought out the creature that Rogue had become.
Sad? Yes.
Realistic?
Terrifyingly so.
Author's Response: Aw thank you so much, Sera. I hope it's some consolation to say this story was as hard to write as it was to read. But it just gnawed at the back of my mind til I finally gave in. Yuck. Makes me want to go foofy in the next chapter of Feral, but I shall resist temptation, heh.

Wow. That's like a punch to the solar plexus. Incredibly powerful and vicious. That's the thing about Rogue ... such potential for things to go so very wrong, and this feels like a very authentic future for her, having to rebuild and rebirth personalities to maintain control: brilliance. The interaction with Logan was almost unexpected and just climbed from one sorrowful moment to the next; even so, I was shocked when she chose to drain him ... great work. Magnificent, truly superb psychodrama.
Author's Response: Thank you. I really admire your writing (although I know I haven't shown it--will get back to reading Sleeping Dogs asap!), so that means a lot. I'm glad Rogue came across as authentic. It felt realistic to me, but I put the OOC warning up just in case.

WOAH, I wasn't expecting that! I can see why you had to right it down in order to get it out of your head. I don't dislike it but it is one of those pieces that will haunt me. (Which makes it good, but goodiness, it wasn't something I was expecting.)
Author's Response: Oh dear! I'm sorry for haunting you, heh. And yeah, this thing was gnawing at me. But now that it's been purged Feral is gnawing again, which was the goal :). So mission accomplished. Off to write on happier things. Ummm like feral!Rogue and Wolverine sexytiems... hmm.... ;P

Holy crap.
No, that's a good kind of holy crap. This is dark and visceral and hurtful. What a portrait of Rogue as she struggles with madness. Very well done.
Author's Response: Thank you. I know it couldn't have been the funnest story to read, but she makes for such a fascinating character study. So many possibilities to explore, especially on the darker, crazier side. And let's face it, as much as I love the clunky inelegance of novel-length writing, sometimes you just gotta write something short, painful, and suicidally depressing. Particularly when you're studying 5 hours a day for the GRE (ha!).
