Poor poor Scott. I could understand his torment here and Anna's as well she tried to comfort him. And your description of Logan is so damn sexy, I can't blame Anna for reacting the way she does to him. I liked how Anna put Scott in his place though, this is her school and ultimately her decision who gets to stay. The way she reminded him about how she felt when she first arrived at Xavier's school was nicely done
Author's Response: :) Yep. No one should try and get in Anna's way.
Is it okay that I found the end of this chapter so hot? Oh my goodness, the visual of Logan taking a shower is just so naughty. I love the memory flashbacks by the way and how Anna/Marie's words from the past comes to haunt him. I love the relationship that is beginning to develop between Anna and Laura as well
Author's Response: :) Thank you. Laura/X-23 is one of my most favourite characters in the Marvel Universe and her importance to Logan just screamed for her to be in this story.
I read this a few times, just to enjoy every piece. I love that you revealed Anna's very real reaction to Logan and his to her on a physical level and the end where she felt compelled to comfort him showed how she still cared for him. It's chapters like this that made me fall in love with your story. Just awesome
Author's Response: I am beyond happy that I managed to get that across. Thank you! :)
I remember squealing when I read this chapter! What a way to reintroduce Logan, I was on the edge of my seat, waiting for Scott to pop the question and then there comes Logan! I really enjoyed how you did that, well done !
Author's Response: Lol, I was pretty sneaky here, huh? :)
You have a knack for setting scenes, you really, really do. I could envision the conversation between allmyour characters and enjoyed the interaction between Scott and Anna. My heart kind of twisted reading how happy they are. You did the same thing with Kitty and Bobby, they all feel so real to me.
Author's Response: ***Blushing*** Thanks!
Oh yes I remember this chapter. Just by itself it's perfect. You managed to convey Logan's disgust over himself and his relinquishing of the women in his past so hauntingly. The part where he admits he loved Marie more than then made me just melt away. So beautifully written.
Author's Response: Yeah, I liked picturing Logan in that bar. Especially considering his connection with Japan. Thank you. :)
I think I fell in love with Scott here! He was exactly what Anna needed, no pressure just sweetness. Such a good guy. So many twists and turns, did I say how much I enjoyed this story? It was my guilty pleasure over the last few months I can't believe it's ending. You are very talented, I hope you continue writing more stories.
Author's Response: I agree, Scott really fit the bill for Anna here, and he is - although most stories show him differently - a really nice guy. And I continue to blush with your wonderful reviews! :)
I love Anna's creation of a new school for younger students it tied in nicely with her relationship with the kids before. Nice buildup with Scott, very believable and that conversation with the professor was very ominous. Another wonderfully written chapter
Author's Response: :) Again, thank you. More crazy, AU stuff, but I like my Anna independant.
Oh my goodness. Torture is right. Logan sure left his mark on Rogue poor thing. This was intense.
Author's Response: Didn't he though? ;)
This was the part of the story where I think I fell in love with it. Your original notes mentioned that you were planning to make this story really different but nothing could have prepared me for this. And I loved it! You are amazing in your ability to really bring your readers into your story I really felt I was there hearing her sing and the reaction of the audience. Plus Rogues/Anina's reaction was powerful stuff. This was a big turning point in your story
Author's Response: Thanks! I remember posting this chapter and thinking 'uhoh, everyone is going to think I am bonkers!' Lol, I did warn people though. Thank you for this review, I am still kind of nervous over how AU and OOC I made Rogue here, but I wanted to take her out of the X-world and explore her life, you know? Kind of like a "What if?" comic. :)
There are just so many wonderful things that I love about this chapter. You got across all the personalities of the XMen and their love for Rogue and I was so happy to see them prevent Logan from getting her back. I loved finding out that Scott had fallen in love with her but was more concerned about her happiness. I really loved how Logan was beginning to suffer and that it was Rogue who left and not him. The scene at the end was heartbreaking as well.
Author's Response: This is one of my favorites. I just think that the X-Men are very close to Marie, especially Kurt. Thank you for this. :)
Oh my how this chapter hurt. You made me want to reach into your story and hug her. She is devastated.
Author's Response: Aw, sorry about that. I really wanted to get across how devastated Marie was. Logan really hurt her, despite his "good" intentions.
This chapter made me so mad. I want to punch Logan for leaving Rogue like that never mind the reasons. I really enjoy reading this a second time, now that I know more about the Wolverine. What a back story!
Author's Response: I know, right?! How could he? :)
Can I just say that I loved this chapter so much? I loved how Rogue got control of her powers, it made perfect sense! The kids' reactions were cute and sweet as well.
Author's Response: Yeah, this chapter was written before most of the others actually. I always thought the only way Marie would gain control over her mutation is through something traumatic considering how it first "manifested." Thank you!
This was so sweet and so very very hot. Logan and grease sounds great to me! Poor Marie though.
Author's Response: :) Thanks again. And yes, poor Marie...
Another enjoyable chapter. My heart was in my throat the whole time. Poor poor Rogue. I could so see Logan watching. And Rogue not wanting to see her father was so heart breaking. Same thing for Remy. She was right for ending it but poor guy. Excellent writing. It's so easy to read.
Author's Response: I know, poor Remy. :)
My heart just broke in a million pieces reading this. Poor, poor little Anna Marie. I love how protective everyone is over Rogue (it really is so enjoyable reading this again knowing about future developments) but my favourite is the end. Logan taking her into his arms while she slept is such a lovely visual. It really shows to me their connection and how much she means to him. I'll be back to reviewing soon, I hope my little contribution helped offset your disappointment in the loss of your reviews. I enjoyed reading them myself and so many reflected my take on your story that I had not reviewed myself for the sake of not repeating them. But like TrickyBusiness said I am most definitely a big, big fan and wanted to let you know how much I adore this story.
Author's Response: And my blushing continues! How, very , very kind of you. :)
This is one of many chapters in this story that made me just sit on the edge of my seat. Right from the get go you had me completely enthralled. The childhood memory had me curious and the scene in the church was so beautiful. The howl of the wolf at the moon was so achingly perfect. Poor Remy. What a bone head thing to do ! I like Rogue all fired up, giving as good as she got from Logan but I adored his reaction to seeing Remy and Rogue kiss. All in spite of himself. So damn sexy actually. And the arrival of her father was just extra extra icing on top of the triple layered cake this chapter was.
Author's Response: Yeah, this chapter was the beginning of all the craziness my story entails! :) I am in a permanent blush now, you are sooo nice!
So sweet. I was so happy to see Logan go back being the protective friend to Rogue. I also enjoyed his taking her under his wing in regards to her fearless. You wrote it so naturally, it was a nice interlude in the midst of all that turmoil. Nicely done.
Author's Response: Again, thank you. Their connection is always there, isn't it? :)
Lots of imagery here. The interaction between Jubilee and Kitty was priceless! No nonsense from these two and it was hilarious! I think I was blushing right along with Rogue! This is where I think I started to fall in love with both Scott and Remy. Knowing what I know now, it makes little nuggets like the airport scene all the more poignant. And Remy is just so sexy. I started to kind of cheer for him here, especially in light of Logan's heavy handed response at the end. But honestly? I still love Logan more.
Author's Response: Again, thanks for this. I really enjoyed bringing the other Xmen into my story, I have a difficult time imagining that just Logan and Marie can interact without everyone else around. Marie's relationship with Jubilee and Kitty is very important to her so their take on her "problem" needed to be exposed, lol.
Thank you for re-reading this story. How wonderful are you?! :)
This chapter is one that I found myself re-reading and re-reading so many times that I lost count. I adored the way you described Rogue's developing feralness and her attempts to control it. So very very believable. But that scene with Logan was just unbelievable. Their reaction to each other had me breathless and his sudden understanding of what was happening to Rogue had my heart thumping. So beautifully transcribed. I truly enjoyed this.
Author's Response: Yeah, that chapter had been really hard for me to write initially. It was my first foray into "smuttiness" and I was really uncertain with it.
Your review is so kind, thank you! :)
This was perfect. I wanted to kick Logan for hurting Rogue when he tried to tell her Remy only wanted her for her body. He could be so thick headed. But I really loved how jealous Logan started to get here whether he realized or not. Your writing is top notch. I really felt I was there.
Author's Response: Aw, thank you! :)
This chapter me feel all trembly inside because you could so see the tension building between Logan and Rogue. I loved how Scott stood up for her to Logan despite their animosity towards each other and that addition of Remy was a nice surprise. You had me do a little digging to find out more about this Remy character and knowing what I do now, redrawing these chapters are even more enjoyable.
Author's Response: Remy is one interesting character. I very much enjoyed Remy in the comics so his appearance in this story was practically guaranteed. Hopefully in your digging you didn't go over to the "Romy" group! :)
This chapter I particularly enjoyed. I like Rogue's reaction to Logan's behavior when they first saw each other again including the conversation she had with the professor. She is clearly grown up and I liked the position she holds with the younger students. But the ending was so sweet, I could very much see the two of them outside the school and reconnecting like that.
Author's Response: Thank you, I really wanted to take Rogue out from her position of student into a contributing member of the X-team. :)
I really enjoyed the reunion between Logan and Rogue and his reaction to her new powers. And the way you introduced Ororo and Scott was perfect.
Author's Response: My story pretty much encompasses a lot of characters, so thank you for your kind comments. In hindsight, maybe a little too much but my muses dragged me everywhere! I do like my X-Men!:)
