The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
Stunning fic, incredibly inventive storyline. Out of this world hot. I can't believe I have to imagine what happened post cure now that she knew Logan's thoughts about her. I'm no good at guessing, lol. Great job!
Passed out a few times reading this! Ha ha! Or not...but cold shower necessary! Wow, would have been so cool to see a sequel to this :)
loved this. hope there is a sequel showing that logan and rogue sorry marie get together now.
Just gorgeous. Classy as all hell and sexy as the same. I loved it. Parts of it lit me on fire, others had me touched and weepy eyed. Thank you for invoking feeling. You are damned good at it.
~Mia
I have decided that *this* is the official end to X-Men 3. Great job, as expected whenever your name is attached to a story. :)
Aw, but done? I think this needs some follow up. Yes, really. ;)
I'm so glad you got the last two chapters up together so quickly! This really is an amazing story, I love all the subtlety of emotion in it. I hope we'll someday get to see what happens afterward with Wolverine! But I'm excited to have more of 'Sleeping Dogs' :) Thank you!
I enjoyed the hell out of this. It was nice to be able to see a different take on why Marie took the cure and I loved your idea about Logan's reaction to it. We all knew she did it for the "boy" and we all knew what boy it really was :) Overall, this was a very enjoyable read.
Author's Response: Glad you liked it! Nothing like a bit of revisionist history to rescue a movie :)
Hope it would seem is always the hardest little bugger to kill off! You’ve cleverly added background and reasons to make the whole ‘cure’ scene more fitting. Really, really liked how you ended this and where you chose to end it.
Nice one, I enjoyed this but am enjoying sleeping dogs too so I will speak to you soon (she says hopefully) on your other page……unless you’ve got something else up your sleeve in which case, you crack on cause I’ll read it :)
Author's Response: Nope, now I've done this one I plan to write NOTHING more until I manage at least a few more chapters of Sleeping Dogs. I'm glad you liked where I left it ... I wanted to stick close to the movie (for once!), and that seemed to be the obvious place to leave off, because the remainder of the film didn't offer much hope. But I do have some ideas as to how ... (claps hand over mouth!)
I really like the way you ended this. I have never been a believer in the ending of X3 but this puts it in an interesting light. I could live with it knowning this was what was going on in the background. thanks!
Author's Response: And that's EXACTLY why I wrote it! I needed to make it work for me, as a Rogan shipper, and this both fit in with the film, and coloured between the lines a bit. Glad you enjoyed it.
Damn, that was good. Although, I have to admit I was hoping for another chapter to see whether Logan would take Marie up on her offer. ;p Awesome story!
Author's Response: I don't think you were the only one. And at some point in the future, he just might ;)
Okay. I was right. Total magic with the 'getting the Cure' scene.
But she knew, now, what torture it was for him, and what that fraught quiet concealed as he countered her chatter with monosyllabic answers. She didn't want that for him, any more.
Aw, poor baby. Nice of her to go easy on him.
Okay. I like where this ended. The Pandora thing kind of coming full circle, the hope theme . . . I dunno, the story just feels very--not complete--but very pulled together. Kind of full circle. Any smut added thereafter would simply be gratuitous (NOT that I am against gratuitous smut).
Anyway, bravo, and thanks for sharing with us this great story! I look forward to reading more of your stuff.
Author's Response: There's certainly a lot to be said for gratuitous smut! (I say it all the time :)) But my aim with this story was to reconcile myself with X3 a little, and it needed to stop there. True resolution might have to come in a post-x3 sequel :) (Oh no, did I say sequel? Noooo ...)
Ooh. Yay for two chapters at once. I think that warrants two reviews at once too, huh? If only because I don't have the attention span to read two chapters and remember what I read well enough to review it all *blush*.
Love his thoughts during the training sim--really brings home the sadness of the events that came after to derail his plans :(. Now I'm wondering what kind of magic you're going to work with the scene where she's leaving to get the Cure.
Awww no smut... wan smut... good story though.
Author's Response: Sorry - maybe I should have pointed to the "ust" tag a bit more strongly! The smut in this one had to be fantasy smut, because it simply wouldn't have worked otherwise. If I write the sequel, I'm thinking it will be Wolverine POV, and post X3. So there might, maybe, possibly, be smut in that :)
Okay not so fluffy but still good... because of the angst you'll have to write more chapters... don't forget the smut ;P
I'm sitting alone in my living room at 4:02 AM, reading this story, and this specific line:
>
... made me laugh right out loud!
Loved it. Pandora is in my opinion one of the most fascinating myths in the Greek Antiquity. Can't wait to see what you have in store for our favorite pair! Free
Loved Logan’s thoughts and her regret at peeking - Great chapter but again with the last line…………really wish you weren’t quite so good at them!! But you are so here I am twiddling my thumbs waiting patiently (or as close to patient as I can manage) for the next instalment x
‘such a fucking fucked fucker.’ Ok so I have to admit this made me laugh…..don’t think I’ve heard it put quite that way before so 10/10 for originality and one of the best descriptions I’ve read!!
Author's Response: I know, the cliffhangers. I can't help myself. It's like I hear a bell clanging at the point or something. It feels necessary ...rnrnFFF - I just had to use it - its probably not very in character, or something the Americans/Canadians say, but the Irish are big on "fooker" and I once had one of my cousins pin me with a really woeful glance and just MOAN that line. (Yes, it was in relation to a girl!) Have wanted to use it ever since, and it seemed to fit so well in here ...
I think it's amazing! I love what you've done so far, great writing as always and interesting plot that grabs and sucks me in until I'm dumped at the end of page waiting for the next one. Thank you! I really like the Pandora stuff, and Logan's point of view reminds of that statistic that men think about sex every 3 seconds or something, it's just spot-on writing.
Author's Response: Glad you like it - and yes, that statistic came to mind for me, too. Logan's a lusty beastie ;)
Whew, Pandora's box is right. That was hot. But then . . . this kind of broke my heart. A lot:
As real as it gets, he'd said. And suddenly, she was cold, and regretful, even as her sated limbs began to flush with the heat from the fire.
Because Logan might have wanted her, but he had fought it. Hadn't wanted this. And she had taken it anyway.
It's like . . . she stole his sense of honor from him or something. So sad. I am absolutely on pins and needles to see how the rest of this unfolds.
That last line left me a little worried . . . *peeks from behind fingers* Is it too much to hope for a happy ending?
Author's Response: I think this will have a happy ending. Or, at least, not an unhappy one. Might not be a pat resolution, but "hope" is a big part of it, I think. She's not one to give up, like Pandora!
What I think is that this is great. I love the concept that Marie has resisted looking at Logan's memories until now. Of course, the Cure is looming over all of it... kind of like death. Or taxes. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you! And yes, the Cure is looming. But is that hope, or is that one of the evils, one wonders *evil chuckle*
Uhm where is the rest? I need more!
Evil, so evil!!!
MORE soon... like now... can't wait
Author's Response: Sorry. Sorry. I'm writing this one superfast to try and exorcise it so I can get on with Sleeping Dogs ... I should be able to get to it tomorrow so look for a chappy in another 48 hours or so. (Sorry!)
whoa! can't wait for more. That was really good.
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed it! Come back soon, now!
Me likey. :)
Ready? Holy Moses woman, please tell me that you've got the next chapter almost done.
Author's Response: Writing it as we speak. Sometimes I think I need to cure myself of my fondness for cliffhangers. Then I think .... no. ;)
This looks really good! I love stories about him in her head, and this one seems like it's going to be very good, and it's a very intriguing start. Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: I can't promise it will be good, but its bit me super hard, so maybe that says something. Next chapter will probably arrive in the next 48 hours, so stay posted!
