The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
Very intense, I hate waiting for the next update!
You tie in all the familiar X-Men really well. They belong together, mutants or no! Great work!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I totally agree with you - the X-peeps are so much better when they're all together. ;)
Love this story! I was so excited to see a new chapter up.
Author's Response: Thank you Rogue. I appreciate it so much! :)
LOVE IT! I was kind of surprised that we didn't get to see what Marie thought of Logan's past. She is not concerned? Or was she more concerned about Victor being in town? You write a great spit fire Marie, nice job.
Author's Response: She was more focused on Victor, but I may bring that back in to play later. Who's to say Logan told her everything? ;)
Wow. intense chapter! Poor Marie. Victor is a sick fuck! This story is so exciting! more please!
Author's Response: I'm glad you think so! Thanks for the support!
I love this story. Period. Again, you give us all we need and nothing we don't. Tons of backstory but not too many nitty gritty details to bog down the pace. I'm taking notes...seriously. --Wendie
Author's Response: Aw! Thanks Wendie!
Hell and back, it;s still good to read you,
~Mia
Author's Response: Thanks Mia. :)
"Well, that's one guy I don't want to meet in a dark alley. Or a lighted alley. Or anywhere else on the damn planet."
Truer words have never been spoken. Ugh.
Thank god she got away from that. :( so happy she found Logan. :)
Author's Response: Ain't that the truth. Thank you for the review, Ebony!
I love this story! So amazing. I can't wait to see what happens next. (And I love the dog!)
Author's Response: Thank you, thank you! So glad you're enjoying it!
Oh, intrigue! I'm always amazed at the tracking abilities of these ferals. Curious to see what happens next! Keep up the awesome work :)
Author's Response: And Victor is quite the tracker! Thanks Aoria!
great update and i like the new pov! i'm glad marie/anna didn't stay angry at logan, she was fair about it which i like! i hope bobby is ok and vic didn't hurt him or anything and i'm eager to see some jean/scott and marie/logan interaction. stupid jean for trying to cheat on scott, hopefully she'll get the message about marie though. can't wait for more!
Author's Response: I'm glad you like it - that POV is my typical writing but I wanted to switch it up a bit. Thank you for the review!
Short, but oh so sweet. I cannot get over your ability to keep the story moving and still pack plenty of emotion into every scene. Nice. --Wendie
Author's Response: Thanks Wendie!
OOOOOOOOO Can't wait for the next Chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks, Sparroe! :)
Love can't wait to see what haappens next.
Author's Response: Thank you!
This was wonderfully written -- no surprise there -- in the sense that the sex was not only a truly organic part of the scene, but also it was a mere five or six paragraphs and still '...amazing. Powerful. Right.'
Love Scott and Jean and the familiar issues involving Logan.
I held my breath as I read the 'afterglow', waiting for the photo of Victor to surface one way or another -- falling out of his shirt pocket or whatever -- but it didn't. Letting them have their 'calm before the storm' was a sweet surprise.
I've got goosebumps wondering how you'll test Logan's vow to do 'anything' to keep her with him. Goosebumps...no shit... --Wendie
Author's Response: Thank you, Wendie!
Oh! Goody, goody. I absolutely love this story. And oddly enough one of my more favorite characters is Jack. :)
Marie's background is interesting and I look forward to seeing how much further you wish to go with it. I also hope Marie gets her memory back soon, but as it's a key part of this story I doubt it.
Thanks for publishing this and updating so quickly, I look forward to seeing the next chapter. Good luck!
-Ellen Marie
Author's Response: Thank you Ellen Marie. This is a fun story to write although real life is intruding a bit. Hope you like what's coming up next!
Oh! Goody, goody. I absolutely love this story. And oddly enough one of my more favorite characters is Jack. :)
Marie's background is interesting and I look forward to seeing how much further y
Wish it was more.
Author's Response: I know, I'm working on it!
Love!!!!!
Author's Response: Love your review!
Awww...love it!
Author's Response: Thank you!!
I abosolutely think the interaction between Logan and Bobby is the cutest thing I have ever read!! Bobby and Logan rarely get good fic time together and it is refreshing to see it done well. I was a little afraid the Mob had shown up already but then I realized the guys were just really rude bikers. Logan's realization at the end is really sweet. And just in time for the Baddies to show up.
Author's Response: Writing Bobby is fun. And, no worries, we'll have some more 'quality Rogan time' before the baddies show up. ;)
OUTSTANDING! Oh, heavens, and to think I once doubted that this Logan IS Logan. Silly me.
And please allow me to correct an oversight from my last review -- love, Love, LOVE your Jubilee! I don't recognize Angelo as an X-Man character, but I'm not as steeped in the comic books or cartoons as some are, so that's my fault, not yours.
I'm guessing these crude dudes were the advance recon for Victor, checking the lay of the land...seeing if Marie was, in fact, in town and how well protected she was...and maybe even if the sheriff was the badass he'd been rumored to be...whatever.
I also very much enjoy your little details that point to the characters' X-personas: '...very own little Chinese firecracker'...'I was probably drunk'...Victor Creed's tenaciousness and taste for killing. It's all just great.
One tiny little note: '...moan until your voice went horse.' Unless he means for her to whinny or neigh like Seabiscuit, it should be 'hoarse'. (Don't you just hate it when Spellcheck can't read your mind?)
More, please! -- Wendie
Author's Response: Thank you Wendie! Yes, Angelo was a good friend of Jubilee's in the comics and asked her out before he died. She always regretted not saying yes. I'm glad you're seeing my little nods to their X-men lives, it's just something I like to do to connect them to that 'world.' Thank you for the correction! I actually changed that line last night and I was tired so didn't connect the wrong spelling of 'hoarse'. XXOO!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Please update soon :)
Author's Response: I will try! Thank you, Sparroe!
Oh, wow. Victor Creed? Shoot, I didn't see that one coming! Can't wait for the next bit. Keep up the great work! :D
Author's Response: Well, I'm glad I surprised you! Thank you for the review. :)
HOLY CRAP, I WISH THIS THING WOULD TYPE BIGGER, BECAUSE I WANT TO FILL THIS LITTLE BOX WITH COMPLIMENTS TILL THE EFFING BLUE EDGES BURST WIDE OPEN AND SPEW OBNOXIOUSLY GUSHING REVIEWS ALL OVER THE DAMN PLACE!!!!!!!!!
OK, I'll calm down...a little. Hitting the fave button after this. Definitely. And that ain't something I do for just any old fic.
I am painfully jealous of your skill at adding in bucketfuls of emotion with few words and minimal fuss. Best example: Marie laughed and Logan felt that lock on his emotions crack open. He still didn't know if she could be married, have children or some incredible life. But no matter what he told himself about keeping his distance, he'd been pulled in way too deep.
Three sentences...and yet it tells the whole tale.
Even shorter example: Seeing her distress made his chest constrict with that feeling of protectiveness.
Crystal clear image that makes it impossible not to understand and sympathize with Logan.
I also love that Bobby is uncharacteristically somber and serious when dropping his bombshell. Ditzy as a dumb-blonde joke he may be, but he's obviously got a big heart and isn't afraid to use it. He knows how hard it is for his boss to hear what he's discovered...well, except for that last HOLY-SHIT-HOLY-SHIT-OH-NO-YOU-DI'INT detail.
Amazing. Totally f-ing amazing. --Wendie
Author's Response: Wendie, you don't even know how much your words mean to me. I know I'm not the greatest writer - there are so many that are just heads and shoulders beter than me - but I try really, really hard to craft a well written and engaging story. It means the world that it touches even one person let alone all the people who have reviewed so far. So, thank you, thank you. :)
Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! This story is *so* good! I've been trying to login to review it for a week, but wasn't able to manage it till tonight. And this chapter is my favorite!!! Victor is definitely the scary dude from her memory, and I am seriously intrigued by the mob angle. Please, please, PUH-LEEZ update soon!!!
Author's Response: I will try! Thank you so much for the review - especially after all you went through to get it written!
