Barely Legal Since 2000
Oh holy great googly moogly smokes. (You have reduced me to incoherency. Well played!)
I'm enjoying this story. The pacing is good and it's fun seeing how you work in each new character.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I just couln't leave out Jubilee. :p
SquEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Author's Response: Yay!
And the world comes full circle! Nicely done. Logan won't have any choice but to tell her now.
Author's Response: Yeah, he can't run from his past anymore! Thanks alesia.
I'll have to admit, I wasn't immediately sold on a "no powers" story. To me their powers are so much of what makes them Logan and Marie. BUT, I am really enjoying this. You really seemed to hit your stride with this chapter. It's really well-written. I loved this part:
"...I wouldn't forgive myself if you got put in the middle of some dangerous situation."
"And I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't put myself between you and that dangerous situation."
Author's Response: Thank you so much. It's an idea that's been in my head for awhile so I wanted to get it out and see what happened. I just had a desire to see what Marie and Logan would be like in the 'real world'. rnrnI really appreciate the feedback - especially from someone who writes Rogan so amazingly well. :)
Lovely! Positively lovely...You've got a great sense of timing in the twists and turns as well as with the little hints of what's to come, starting with that first jolt when Marie went from all smiley over her lustful thoughts to the pain and upset of her flash of memory. And, who doesn't love protective!Logan?
Oh, and Marie, he did growl. Trust me, honey, you'll not only get used to it, you'll CRAVE it! Which is how I feel about updates for this story. -- Wendie
Author's Response: Thank you Wendie. Just the idea of that Logan growl makes one all rubbery, no? ;)
I hope you update soon. : )
Author's Response: I will really try. :)
yay for updates!
Author's Response: Yay for reviews! ;)
nice so far, like the addition of jack and you can feel the wolverine in there even tho theres no powers.
Author's Response: Thank you. I appreciate your review!
I like reading your words.
~Mia
Author's Response: Thank you, Mia.
now this ones a keeper. more!!
Author's Response: Thank you!
looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Thank you! Hope to have it soon!
I love Jack and I love that Logan sees the similarities between him and his 'partner' in their reactions to Marie. I think his last line may prove to be rather prophetic...Yeah, Logan, buddy, you're done for.
Best lines: "First of all, you're not old. Second, I just meant that you seem like a no nonsense guy."
Understatement.
Sometimes one good word says it all. --Wendie
Author's Response: Aw, thanks Wendie! I think Jack and Logan are the true soulmates. ;)
OMG!!!
I simply love this chapter. The Jack bit was great. :D It gave me a huge grin. Thank you for making my day! Can't wait to read more!
Author's Response: Thank YOU, Ebony! You made my day!
I like they way your story is heading and how your using the characters.
Author's Response: Thank you, Sparroe. I so appreciate the feedback.
I really like the way this is going so far.
~Mia
Author's Response: Thanks Mia. I'm really glad.
I LOVE JACK!!!! What a perfect dog for Logan? Wolf-hybrids are funny, the ones that aren't completely clueless are exceptionally smart (like how you describe Jack) and are more partners then pets.
I still really like the slow development you have going on here.
Author's Response: Thanks, alesia. I'm glad you like the 'new character'. ;)
sweet chappie with jack and marie, love it! i can't wait to see some more marie/logan bonding too!
Author's Response: Thank you!
Now I really wanna see him fall hard for Marie! Love the Dumb Bobby interaction with Logan! Please, ma'am, may I have some more?!?
Author's Response: Yes, yes you may. Just not right now. ;) I'll try and get you some more soon!
What I think is that this story is going great. Don't second guess the pacing. It's terrific. Very romance novel-ish. Which leads me to a question: Will we be getting any of the story from Marie's POV? I have no preference either way, just curious... --Wendie
Author's Response: Whew, thanks! I just didn't want people to expect a fast pace with this one and be disappointed. I haven't quite decided yet on the POV. I'd planned it from Logan's but I might change that up a bit. Thanks again, Wendie!
OK, I'm in. You hooked me into your AU with Bobby Drake having "the organizational skills of a rhesus monkey". And you were right about Logan seeming more Logan-like when dealing with others. Certainly his primal response to Marie follows the right track. On to Chapter 3... --Wendie
Author's Response: I'm so glad you saw Logan in there! Thanks for taking time to review!
I, for one, like the pace. Part of the neat thing with AUs is that you don't have the 'normal' interactions to fall back on. Besides it is fun to watch Logan's own instincts mess with his head. :)
Author's Response: Great, thank you for the feedback, alesia. I tend to have more action going but I really want to explore their relationship. I appreciate the support!
I'm happy to give Logan and Marie time to get to know each other and like the slower pace. Love the story, keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Thank you so much. :)
ALL of it. It's wonderful.
Gorgeous. I want it all. All of it, now. I want all the things. All the story are belong to me. Do it.
~Mia
Author's Response: Thanks Mia, you can have as much of It as you want! ;)
short but great!
Author's Response: Thank you!
