*fans myself* smexy lemon, great job! i like how you included colossus in your story, he's a nice dude. and i can't wait to see what happens next. how will the group get in touch with the x-men? will everyone at the mansion accept rogue? will rogue even want to stay there? fabulous update, eager for more!
Author's Response: Hehe. Logan made me do it. He said after Marie jumped him in the last chapter he was gonna do it with or without me because, as he reminded me, he has been locked up in that lab for nearly six months and a man has needs. Lol. I love Colossus, I've always seen him as sort of a big brother figure for Rogue for some reason and wanted Rogue to have a few people on "her side" before she meets the X-men just in case so we'll be seeing more of him. :) as always thanks for the comments :D haven't had as much time to write the past few days as I would have liked but that should ease up soon and I'll get back to posting multiple chapters a day instead of just one.

Hmm, is it wrong that I'm also rooting for Victor.... course I'm imagining the one from Origins and not the original X-Men movies LOL.
Author's Response: :) I do have a bit of a soft spot for Creed. It's good you view him that way cos that's how I'm trying to write him as that's how he's portrayed in the comic books. I felt like they really dumbed him down in the X1 film and I didn't really like it. He was much better in Origins. :)

i could see a long line of felled trees leading up to rogue, awesome visual! and i loved the flashback, wonderful descriptions and very well done. Loved the update, i'm wicked excited to see what happens next, especially since it seems victor wants rogue for himself...
Author's Response: Yeah, he's definitely taken an interest in her and Logan's starting to notice and not too happy about it :D Didn't mean for that chapter to be so long, but I kept writing, and rewriting it not really knowing which direction I wanted to take and this is what came out. :) As always thanks for the comments and motivation!

uh oh... how well (and quickly) will be rogue be able to adjust to sabertooth in her head? i do have to say, that stunt was clever of victor, probably healed her faster than waiting for rogue to agree.
i loved the opening with logan thinking about rogue's real name, it was sweet but realistic and not ooc. really enjoyed the chapter! and can i just say, you deserve a fanfiction author gold medal for updating so frequently! it's freaking awesome!
Author's Response: Thanks!! I know I tend to avoid reading Uncompleted stories just because there's always that risk that the author will never finish and there's nothing worse then getting caught up in a really good story only for it to just never finish, or go on hiatus for like months, so I'm trying to be really good about it. But there's no worries about us not reaching an ending with this one because I already have the last three chapters written, I'm just working on connecting where we are now, to there, and there's quite a bit of distance to cover, but I promise we'll get there. :)

Author's Response: I was a bit "awwwww" writing the bit with the gloves b/c I kept thinking, this is probably the first pair of gloves she's ever gotten. She's been in the lab since she was very young, and since gloves end up being such a big part of Rogue's repertoire, it was really like a big defining moment for him to give them to her. Glad your enjoying and loving the reviews almost as much as I'm loving writing the story! :)

I love how fast you're getting these updates in and how slow I am. Another marathon of reading. My heart is racing as if I'm there witnessing the fighting. And for once Victor and Logan are fighting together... at least for the moment ;-)

Author's Response: Thank you :D If I'm honest, I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Creed in the comics. In comic verse, he's fought against and with the X-men team, so I guess I write him more in that light. Him and Logan are really so much alike, same coin, different sides, just makes you wonder why Creed decided he'd rather be on the dark side of things. Plus its fun to write them butting heads. We'll see how long the temporary truce lasts though.. ;)

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm glad your enjoying it! Originally I was only planning on updating once a week but I can't stop writing so it's been a LOT more frequent and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon. :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much!! I'm glad your loving it!! I know I'm loving writing it! It looks like its going to end up being a series and I'm thinking of doing some short story "Origins" about how Wolverine and Rogue each ended up in the lab to begin with, but first things first and that's continuing on and finishing up this story. :) Glad to have you along for the ride!

I love the darkness and the craziness in this story. Though I hate to have my favorite people go through all the horrible stuff that you're describing in an extraordinary fashion, at the same time, I love it. It brings out a strength of character to see them overcoming situations like this. Basically, I love this and can't wait to read more from you!
Author's Response: Thank you!! I always love the stories where Wolverine and Rogue are a bit crazy but then find each other and find their crazy fits perfectly together. To me they just seem more realistic to the characters, I guess because I grew up reading the comics so in my head they're the two powerful loner mutants who always have each others back and are constantly saving everyone else so you'll see a lot of that type of stuff building in the story.

Author's Response: Thanks! When I first started thinking about actually writing a story (instead of just reading) I had that quote from Julius Caesar rattling around in my head over and over due to the song from Saltillo (search Youtube for Saltillo - A Necessary End and you'll find it) and it sort of sparked a candle. Hopefully it'll work out into something worth while. :)

Okay, so you've got me interested. But I always love me some lab Logan and Rogue. Don't know why but I always feel like the situation brings them even closer together than just the Magneto incident in the movie. Can't wait til you update next!
Author's Response: I love me some lab Logan/Rogue too and some feral Logan/Rogue (especially feral Logan) so you'll see a lot of that throughout this. Hopefully I'll do it a bit of justice. I've been a huge X-men fan since I was very young, used to spend my allowance buying comic books and trading cards, so there will be a lot of comic verse in here as well. :)
