Also noticed you didn't (I think) mention what colour hair rogue has, so I'm assuming she just dyed out the streak?

Ohhhh, rogue has definitely gotta go blonde! Loving this, although it always makes me a little sad when someone other than Logan calls rogue Marie, even if it's for their own good -- it's *his* thing!

His thoughts pour into her: confusion, elation, desire, but all of it is shadowed. By doubt. She pulls away from him, not wanting to feel or hear it anymore. But before she can retreat totally his hand pops up and touches her face. It’s love that she can feel pouring out of him. ***I love how its so realistic. And I love how they talk things out.***
I have to say I was thoroughly shocked at the whole them being left behind. And that they will appreciate it? Wow. Strong words. I can't wait to read what happens next.
Author's Response: that was actually a kind of hard scene to write. I wanted it to seem real, ,the wonder the doubt the fierceness of it all. rnrnAnd that was kind of always the plan, for them to be left behind when the Professor hightailed it out of there.

Logan’s deep warning growl doesn’t register in her head. Claws, she has claws. Carefully she lifts her arms and points it in a direction safely away from Jean and Logan. She struggles for a moment to send the claws firing and when she finally does so, it’s with a painful tearing in her knuckles. ***Favorite part of the whole chapter***

“Well, that much is- ” His comment is cut off by a spare pillow to the face. A small scale war ensues until Logan has Marie pinned on the bed, arms above her head, legs wrapped around his hips. Her heart races and a very detailed image passes through someone’s mind. Quickly they disentangle.
***Love it!!!!!!!!***
The dog tags. The pain that she feels spread through her chest is what she imagines it would feel like to have Kitty reach into your chest cavity and squeeze your heart. She reaches up, dragging a finger along her skin where the chain would rest, before heaving a sigh of regret. ***tears. So sad***
“Jean should let me kill those boys.” She hears him mumble as he passes
***I LOL-ED out loud***
“Ugh, could you imagine just what Remy would show me- ” She stops when she realizes Logan’s got an almost faint growl rumbling in his chest. It’s a particular emotion she hasn’t seen him display as of yet. Jealously looks good on him. ***Loved loved loved***
Author's Response: I love the scenes that you love to! Especially the sad stuff. I like the jealousy line a lot and the part with them on the bed is one of my favorites!!

Logan grabs him and tosses him back into the wall. “You and me are gonna have a talk.” She hears him threaten. ***Love Logan***
apparently they had an accident on the way down. Remy almost killed you, I thought he deserved a bit of Logan’s punishment.’ She hears Jean chuckle next to her

Marie is now comfortable attired in pajamas with little monkey’s all over them, and matching yellow gloves. Obviously Jubilee had delved into her own closet instead of Marie’s. ***LOVE IT!!! I can see it and its so funny.***
“You can’t come near me, I don’t want to phase through the floor, make it rain, or blast a hole in the wall. Please-” she begs as Logan moves closer.
***Awww***
“That’s bullshit,” Logan finally breaks out of the spell he’s under. He turns to the Professor anger sparkling in his golden eyes. “She has to stay five feet from everyone all the time. It’s bad enough she has to cover herself from head to toe, now she can’t even stand next to someone. SHIT!”
He’s pissed. She can tell, truthfully, she shouldn’t have expected any less. Logan strove to give her as normal an existence as possible. He never let her wear gloves, insisted she wear tank tops and shorts when it was just them.
***Awwww. I love this Logan***
Belatedly she realizes that there’s only one comfort that she wants. She manages to stay in her chair, and knows that Logan can smell her misery by the way the arm of the danger room simulated chair splinters under his free hand. She still amazed he’s managed not to break the glass, but she notices that it’s fuller than it was before. ***I feel their pain***
I freaked, froze like I always do. No one realizes how scared I get sometimes when you guys get too close.” She’s thinking again. “So, it’s instinctual?”
***Poor Marie. I never thought that she would be freaked out by people near her.***
She’s scared. Piotr shifts his form, and she feels cool metal touching her forehead as he places a kiss there.
***Awwwwwwwwwww****

“Hell chica, I wouldn’t know. What, are you gonna ask me to read the other side of the menu next?”
***LOL. It took me a minute. But I loved it.***
She becomes aware of two things simultaneously. The first, is the cold feel of metal against the back of her head, the second is the clatter of plastic as the phone Jubilee has been speaking on is knocked from her hand. She freezes, and watches out of the corner of her eye as her friend is hauled backwards over the park bench and out of her view. Panic white and hot rises into her throat, but the barrel of the pistol warming from her body heat stops her from doing anything.
*** My favorite part of the whole chapter***
Jubilee’s screaming at her, and the small pile is gone. She clutches the tag in her hand
***Aww. That scene hurts my heart***
The next few days are going to suck.

Really loving this -- you do love to put rogue through the ringer dontcha? Logan/rogue are adorable as always, and finding rogue/Jean quite sweet too (when Jean isn't the centre of Logan's world/completely and utterly perfect in every way, I can actually tolerate her!) keep up the good work!

Wow, you've been busy updating since last I was here, I fear leaving the website as I assume you'll update as soon as I do ;) this is seriously addictive, loving the sweet Logan/rogue moments, and fascinated by all the experiments (although totally sympathetic to what rogue has to go through) can't wait for more!!
