Author's Response: As soon as I get a chappie finished. Logie has been in a cranky mood, telling only small tidbits. I have had to yank every word out of him with a wrench. Of course only figuratively speaking, I wouldn't hurt my muse.

Oh! Logan wants to be saved, too. After all that, his dreams are so adorable! And so *tragic*. Because we get the rude awakening, the Destroyer, his other side. NOT a warrior, not saved, and perhaps always this injured (figuratively and literally *g*).
This is the first time he's ordered a mechanic around, isn't it? This Destroyer doesn't seem interested in anything but destruction, sleep, getting free, etc. Lust and libido doesn't seem to be there at all. So why does he sometimes nearly turn into a Destroyer when he's having sex? *ponders*
I'm sure the answers are coming. ;)
Author's Response: Answers are coming. I'm not liking very much about what Logie is telling me. But this isn't the last time we'll be seeing Wolverine.

Wow! What an image. And what an imagination, Ara! This fic seems to be more and more about the world of Destroyers, Hunters, Humans, and Mutants. The socio-politics is taking over.

“I won’t probably attack. You’re too small to pose a threat. I probably thought you were a Mechanic…”
“What are you talking about?” Won’t probably attack? Was she supposed to start to be afraid of him, too?
“You met Wolverine. The Destroyer.”
Oh, boy. :) So far, Wolverine the Destroyer has seemed defeated, furtive, trying not to make trouble, trying to get by, taking opportunity for escape. And sometimes he flips into Destroyer mode, too. Does he enjoy killing, or is it just something he does?
Now the question for me is...does this Destroyer Wolverine want things for himself *beyond* freedom? Does he lust? Does he feel possessive? Does he seek to destroy and revenge? Will *this* Wolverine believe he deserves Marie, that he should just take her?
I'm so glad you're prolific, Ara. I hope you finish the next chapter soon.

Prolific? When I have the time. School starts on Monday, so pace is going to slow down a little. Grrr... If I could do this for a living, write 24-7, I would.

Another lovely chapter. L&M always manage to have sex, even when they're on the run. ;) The last two paras extremely well-written. Just enough info, visual, lots of emotion. And somehow warmer because they'd been intimate but exhausted earlier with the little bath. (Also glad I didn't have to imagine dirty, sweaty, gritty sex.)
Poor Logan can't let go yet. It's interesting to find that Wolverine is a separate personality, an altered state. Docile, still thinking, even absently noting, but altered. Based on what Wolverine has been so far, I really don't think he needs to be worried. But he will be. Poor Logan. *pets him* That is his angst-y burden.
Author's Response: Wolverine isn't the most stable being, even if we have seen him mostly docile up this far...
