The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
I'm supposed to be getting ready for work but I thought "hey, a short one... character death? meh, shouldn't be Logan or Marie." I was 1/2 right. I hate the ending (of course) but it was written really well. I could feel the pain that Marie went through from the words of the letter. Very well written for a short, one-shot.
(brows knitted in confusion)
What significance is the car pulling down the driveway? (other than to hit Rogue?)
It's Jean that's 'kneeling next to Rogue, trembling fingers pressed to a neck soaked in blood.' & Jean's eyes that look up into Scott's visor, isn't it?
Whose hair is brushing against what cotton?
(apologies if I seem inordinantly thick-headed, but I do feel that I'm missing something here.)
But I love your writing style! Very vivid, very detailed!
Author's Response: Hey no worries. I knew this story was a bit of a stretch but I liked how it turned out.
The car pulling down the driveway is the delivery person - whom Rogue's trying to stop.
Yes its Jean and Scott who find Rogue's broken body. The sound of hair brushing against cotton is when Jean looks up at Scott to confirm their fears.
Thanks so much for the feedback...and I'm glad you like my writing style.
Uhm uhm... I'm not good with one of those two dying or both... *starts bawling* really not good with it...
Wow that was really sad. I am curious as to what happened though. Did someone hit her with a car? And if so who hit her? In my head I feel like it was Logan who hit her in his rush to beat the letter and show her he wasn't really dead. Also is Rogue dead or just injured? Great story. Really makes you think as well as feel.
Author's Response: I kinda left it open to interpratation. I figured why not let the reader make up their mind about that...
