Don't apologize for your characters and what they might do: the sign of a good work of fiction is when the characters take on a life of their own, and the author can barely keep up.

It is when you are surprised by what they do, rather than plotting it, that you become the writer.

Author's Response: That observation about the characters taking on a life of their own is some of the pithiest, most profound advice I've ever read. I swear that soetimes I learn more by reading feedback than I do from reading other fics. Thank you for that.

Ok, I have to ask it...is she gonna turn blue and hairy? *g*

Author's Response: LOL! Uhhh.... actually, I hadn't thought of that! There ya go, write one of yours on that topic!

WOW, just WOW! I am a religious person and trust me you caused no offence what so ever!! In a time of desparate need, desparate emotions, things like faith get questioned, I mean REALLY questioned. Lines get blurred and anger flares. Anger usually directed at God or whichever version of him is relevant to the person. In this situation of complete and utter dispair some tough questions are asked of him and unfortunately for us the big man never answers, never comforts, he simply leaves us with our own choices and emotions and hopefully conclusions.

Sorry I rambled!!

Anyway, fucking spot on! Brilliant! BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO!

Author's Response: Thank you - that makes me feel better. I tend to pick up threads of details from other fics, and many of those contained references to the mutants feeling either rejected by Deity (whatever/whoever form that takes), or being agnostic to atheistic. Having all the supports pulled out from under her life, Rogue would have a meltdown. Religion, destruction, rage, fire, cunning - all those things are meaty fic topics, and packing them all into one chapter (I thought maybe...) would put a lot of people off. I've seen authors get seriously slammed for writing on controversial topics, and I'm just hot-headed enough to spit into the wind, so to speak. lol!

I can understand Rogue focusing her grief in that way and blaming God. Great chapter.

Well I'm sure Marie could do without her mission and touching Hank is wrong... but I don't give a shit!

Logan has to be kept alive as long as it takes for his mutations to come back and that's it!

Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: <<< but I don't give a shit! >>> My sentiments exactly!
