I can't believe I've never run across this story before! I do remember St. Elsewhere and I also loved the ending, and your story just rocks!

Bless the 'Story of the Moment' feature for this morning I have had the best laugh -- 'Wicked Game' by soulless lover -- and the best cry I've encountered so far on this site.
