i just discovered this story and i am already entranced by the notion of Rogue killing the Phoenix. will what she took from jean drive Rogue mad? i can't wait to read the rest.
beware, i may comment a lot as i read, but i'm sure you'll appreciate the feedback if the rest is as good as this exciting first chapter!
Author's Response: I wanted to do a 'What If...'. I didn't like how the last movie ended, and I felt that the writers should have given Rogue more of a roll. But thanks for the reviews!!! They are always so helpful!

I am definitely hooked on this! I love the idea. I wonder how Rogue is going to be able to handle that. Such an influx of power and what was destroying Jean... Not to mention the total angst-a-bility here. What a fubar triangle you've woven, my dear.
