Barely Legal Since 2000
A truly wonderful chapter. The picture you painted of everything being put right in Marie's mind is truly a wonder. Thank you for sharing.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading and commenting. I appreciate hearing what you like.
brickbats?, cul-de-sacs? Did I miss something? I'm glad Scott has finally removed his head from his ass before it took root there. Shame it took a divorce & moving across the country.
Since I have a soft spot for Scott I'll let this delay on "the talk" slide....for now.
Nice. Very nice. Unexpectedly so.
~Mia
Author's Response: *grins foolishly* Thanks.
Absolutely, tragically beautiful. Thank you for the peacefulness in this.
~Mia
Author's Response: You're most welcome. Though it's not going to stay too peaceful for long...

Author's Response: It is a shame, but life is like that sometimes. "Since I have a soft spot for Scott I'll let this delay on "the talk" slide....for now." Thank you for your indulgence. ;)
Thank you! This was a great chapter. I've been sad about Jean and Scott's relationship for the whole story. You do a good job of depicting his humanity and his remorse. Looking forward to the next installment!
Author's Response: Thank you! I think you asked for Scott's point of view a while back. ;) Didn't want to spoil the plot, but I'm glad you continued long enough to see your request answered.
You haven't written any cul-de-sacs yet, in my opinion. An on-ramp or two, maybe, but no cul-de-sacs. I know, I live on one.
This was wonderful and I didn't know I missed the guy until he showed up again. Nice. --Wendie
Author's Response: "You haven't written any cul-de-sacs yet, in my opinion. An on-ramp or two, maybe, but no cul-de-sacs. " Hee!rnrn"This was wonderful and I didn't know I missed the guy until he showed up again. Nice." Sweet! I'm savoring that one.
Sooo good! I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you!!! Await no longer.
OMG. I am soooooooooooooooo fuckin into this story. You don't even know. I can't wait for Logan to Wake up!
Author's Response: I'm beginning to get the idea from the number of 'O's' in 'so'. ;) Thank you very much! And sorry, but you'll have to wait a little longer.
What? I'm lost. About the 'hating' you part. How can I hate someone who writes so beautifully?
Yay! Perfectly played!!!
Author's Response: *high-fives*
well it comes to a head somewhat. i still feel like there is a lot of story left untold here. I can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: I'm glad you feel that there's story left untold, since there is quite a bit yet to come. ;) Thank you!
Metaphorically speaking, I am turning cartwheels right now in utter, boundless joy!
There's a lot of personal shit going on in my life right now that makes me fully understand how she can be 'feeling so many opposing things at the same time' and then, in the end, just be 'glad he's here.'
I look forward to them 'answering' to each other. --Wendie
Author's Response: Metaphorical cartwheels are awesome!rnrnThanks, as usual, for your lovely comments. Hearing that something I've written rings true from a real-life perspective is really nice.rnrn"I look forward to them 'answering' to each other." I look forward to that myself, but we're not quite there yet...
God, it's so hard getting these two conscious at the same time. xXx
Author's Response: *dies* You make a very good point there. What's UP with that?
Yay update! I really liked the direction you went in. What I'm having a little trouble understanding is Marie telling the Prof that she wasn't strong enough, that she was hiding something, & " “I thought it was something I had to do by myself.” " ....I'm taking this to mean the pain she was in when Logan left? The anger, feelings of rejection, loneliness. Is this close or am I missing the mark?
Can't wait for "the talk" because these two are in desperate need of one. You spoil us with regular updates :D
Author's Response: I don't think you're far off the mark. There's certainly enough confusion in her own mind about what she did/thought/meant that it's no wonder she's a bit incoherent. rnrnI will continue regular updates, but you don't get "the talk" as yet. ;)
Christ, I'm balling my damned eyes out over here! Awesome chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you!
You are effing terrifying. Scared the pants right off of me. I knew she was messed, but I never saw this coming.
~Mia
Author's Response: Didn't mean to scare you. ;) More coming soon...
You know, this chapter reminded me of the movies The horsemen.
Author's Response: Interesting...I don't know the movie, so I'm assuming the Horsemen are of the Apocalypse? Because the title quote is of course about Death, but I didn't work in Famine, Plague and Pestilence. ;) Either way, nice pickup!
You fixed it! :DDD This was maybe my favorite chapter so far, I don't even know. I can't wait for the next part!
Author's Response: Well, I'm working on fixing it. There's still a ways to go. ;) But more will be coming soon!
YAY!! He came back! He saved her!! YAY!!!
More please!
Author's Response: He did! Three cheers for Logan!rnrnOkay, more soon.
I don't know if I can stand another life-or-death cliffhanger, but I live in hope. I am so glad he got there in time to save her. Now, please save him... --Wendie
Author's Response: Okay, I'll work on that. Thank you for continuing!
wow I knew it! I just knew it! Thats so sad! I love how desperate Logan was that she get better. I don't think marie will be happy to be alive though. I am anxiously awaiting the next chapter! update soon!
Author's Response: Thank you for all the nice comments, and for letting me know what you liked! More coming soon, promise.
god, i hope Rogue punishes the shit outta him for putting her through this!
but at the same time i wish she'd been stronger...but in this story she can't be, not after what she'd been through when he found her. :(
love this story anyways, even though it breaks my heart!
Author's Response: She'll probably think of a few things to put him through in return.rnrnThank you so much!
damn u i have to wait til tomorrow or the day after to read what happens? u just made this story good again, keep goin
Ahh & all is right in the fanfic world...well, not entirely, but we're getting there right? Guys? *crickets*
I heart me some Jubilee & this is a perfect example of why. No trite characterization (re: popping gum, yellow overload, chica this, chica that). What you wrote was necessary & still felt like her. Same with the chapter w/ her & Logan in the bar.
Anyway - loved this. The whole "New Orleans. A warm mountain field. *Your face*." Sigh. I have a sneaking suspicion we're going to be belly crawling through some angst soon w/ this aftermath. Will he stick around this time?
Author's Response: I love Jubes too. (She might visit again later, if needed...) As far as the rest of your questions, well..stick around, we'll find out.
