I love the way you integrated Laura into your story - I kind of hoped you would bring her in when you had brought up her name as a possibility for Becca's in one of your earlier chapters. In the comics, Wolverine has been portrayed in so many different capacities in regards to her (Father/Brother etc) but his protectiveness towards her always grabbed at me. Good job! :)
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I intended to bring Laura into this story from the very beginning,that's why I had her name mention but then again drop it; so you're right :)

I love that Marie is so fascinated with Hugh Jackman and you're right -- of the two films, 'Kate and Leopold' is infinitely more entertaining, partly because of Liev Schreiber's hilarious performance. When falls down that elevator shaft...hahahaha!...

Author's Response: Yep 'Kate and Leopold' was awesome and I really felt bad for Liev's character first falling in that elevator shaft and then ending up locked up as a loonie in the hospital!

Once again, you've written such a sweet Logan but without losing any of his rough and tough side. Nice job tying in the Kuekuatsu myth. Very believable. Lovely surprise, this update. And sweet and hopeful, too. I love that she knew he needed to go, but I really, really love that his reasons for finding out about his past are all about linking it with his future -- giving Becca a real last name and a family history, making sure that she always knows who she is and where she came from. You've really hit the ground running with these updates and kept the story upbeat and exciting without sacrificing any of the warmth and sweetness between Logan and his girls. Excellent. --Wendie

Author's Response: I'm from Germany. The German national soccer team is advertising nutella for years. It's really quite popular here and also in other European countries - I could even buy it in almost every supermarket in Croatia.

Author's Response: Thanks, Wendie! I like horror-movies (I know not very girly of me) and they are always quite gorie... and I can't imagine Victor to not be covered all in blood after a fight.

Ok, just two things:
Logan wouldn't actually be a pedophile for being attracted to Marie; The term pedophile means someone who is physically and mentally attracted to people who LOOK like a kid -- when their prepubescent. So even if Marie is mentally child-like, it's my understanding that she looks like a women...
also, isn't the age of consent in New york state 17? I'm actually Canadian, but my mums from the states and she said it differs from state-to-state, the age of consent ranging from 16-18, depending on where you are, and I looked it up and it said the age of consent in New york state is 17...
Just thought I'd point that out, 'cause I absolutely am addicted to this story so far and I love it, but those two things have been nagging at me for awhile 0_0.
I don't mean any offense by pointing em' out though, just so ya know.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I stated somewhere in my first A/Ns that I noticed the child-like-looks of Marie in X1 (she looks more mature in X2&3). So it's exactly the other way around than you wrote: Marie looks younger than she is, but mentally a part of her is very mature due to her absorption of Logan and Magneto; on the other hand she's still an inexpierenced teen. I'll bring up more background information about Marie's childhood in later chapters... And Logan is attracted to Marie's kind and loving personality, though he's sure that she'll be very beautiful woman once she's grown up.
rnI already came across the thing with the age of consent a few months ago and I know it's a mistake. But when I started with this story I had read a lot of other Rogan stories and THERE it was always stated that Logan waited till she was 18, so I went along without looking it up. It's so confusing that this law differs from state-to-state.
Then there is the problem that Logan is Marie's teacher and they would have to wait till her graduation.

Lovely chapter!! Glad to see only the teeniest, tiniest of mention of Dr Bitch and her attitude problem. I hope Xavier is picking up on all this just as easily as Logan is. I think a nice little "talk" is due between the Prof and his former student!!

I love that Logan gave Becca all the credit for remembering Marie's birthday. So sweet. And that cake sounds yummy, whatever kind of cream is on it. (I've tried Nutella and it is very tasty!)
I also liked how you included the teachers and tossed in a little Jean bashing at the same time -- can't get enough of that.
The leap year tease is very clever...heh, heh. Makes me think of an old song by Tom Petty that talks about how 'Wa-aiting is the ha-ardest part...'
