I just read this in one go and don't know how everyone else did it having to wait for updates. This is one of the best lab captured Marie stories EVER!!! And your Logan... I swoon just imagining how gentle, kind, and loving he is with Marie through all this. Most stories have him not being able to completely bottle his feral side but you had him perfect here. I'm so glad that I found this and now I'm looking for more stories in your profile.

I read in your A/N that you didn’t want to write this story..and in a way, I didn’t want to continue it after I read the first couple of chapters…not b/c of the writing, but b/c I hate to read about Marie getting tortured..esp. when it’s so violent, cruel and she loses herself…but, I’m so glad I did, cuz honestly, I don’t even think of this as that kind of a story anymore..but as a true love story.
I figured that Logan would be the one for Marie..since he literally saved her in every sense of the word..but the way that Marie became everything to him unexpectedly and how it changed him completely was so amazingly good I’m in awe of how you did it. The transcendental nature of Logan’s love was so beautiful..I don’t think I’ve read anything quite like it.
As a Rogan shipper I want them to end up together…yet in this, I really wasn’t sure if they would end up that way (in the romantic sense) and I was okay with it. Until your glorious final chapter, I thought she was so fragile and almost child-like (in how she had to re-learn everything) and wondered how she could be with him while still like? w/o being an equal?..ie. would he see her as more than a vulnerable girl?...(though there were hints with the nuzzling/kisses/touches)…so it was a pleasant surprise how it all tied up together. I loved everything about the conclusion..their cabin, the glimpses of their everyday lives (including Logan cooking), that she has pretty clothes..and if she hasn’t already, how she will enjoy that feminine aspect, how Logan slowly brought about their physical relationship and culminating in the profound and deeply moving three unwritten words. I’m sure you can tell..but it needs repeating..I really, really love this story and am so thankful that you shared it with us.

I've been checking almost compulsively since you said it might be up today, and I'm so excited it was! It's a great chapter, and I'm so happy it wasn't as bad as it could have been and that he got her back so quickly! I'm sad it's almost over but also a little relieved that there won't be anymore cliffhangers!! Great writing as always :) I can't wait to see how you end it.

Amazing story and so well done. I admit I tend to avoid really dark/angsty, unhappy stories ..and might have skipped this, except I recently read ScienceGeek and enjoyed it so much (will post review soon :)) I couldn’t pass up reading your work ...and am so glad I did. You write such a compelling story..it’s hard and gritty yet, so full of hope and humanity, each chapter has stayed with me long after reading it. So many things I want to comment on, I’ll have to make a list LOL.
-Your Rogan-I’m pretty sure if I wasn’t a fan of W/R before, I would be after ScienceGeek and this. Your Logan is so sweet (without losing any of his Logan-ness) and caring with Marie, it almost hurts it’s so achingly good. I love that despite the fallout of his actions (ie Professor’s censure etc), he would repeat them in a heartbeat to save Marie. His care and concern are shown in every small action he’s done to spare her any more pain/discomfort.
-It’s horrific what Marie’s been through and the fact that she has to be taught to feel like a human being again is beyond imagining, but I think Logan has done (and is doing) it not only with care/concern/tenderness but keeping her respect and dignity intact so that even in the future when she looks back, she’ll never have to feel embarrassed in any way with him about anything(does that make sense?)
-I love that Logan is Marie’s safe place and hopefully will continue to be so, for the rest of their lives.
-As for Jean and the Professor-it’s horrible how callously they’ve treated Marie, especially given all their tolerance propaganda, and I’m thinking Logan is on the way to being pretty disgusted by Jean (still slightly disappointed about all of Logan’s hook-ups in the mansion, lol).
Finally, Logan’s kiss on Marie’s neck was unexpectedly sensual. I know Marie’s nowhere near that stage of thinking and Logan doesn’t think of her like that, at all, yet I suspect it was more than just affection and there was something primal about it which he’ll probably realize later on (my spec.).
Okay, I wrote way too much..but the gist of it is--I love your story and wanted to let you know (umm, kinda hoping long review= quicker updates :D) Thank you so much.
