Love this chapter but still can't wait until Marie's BF and Logan meet. Good times. I hope Marie makes Logan jealous for at least a little bit. I love the inner Logan speak, btw. Right on target.

No wonder he calls himself Daken, 'Sonofafuckingbitch' would be really hard for a kid to learn to spell. Geez, I bet Logan's gonna be a while figuring out how that monster could possibly in a million years have sprung from his loins. And still with the mystery as to WHY the monster is so bent on destroying not only the Wolverine and those he loves, but his reputation as a 'superhero' as well.
Besides all the breath-taking action and suspense, what makes this story so ripe for movie-making is the dialogue. Every word out of their mouths -- and every thought passing through their brains, for that matter -- is exquisitely appropriate to the moment at hand and still downright hilarious. Case in point: "Now that shit is just plain wrong." *still laughing*

Oh yay, an update! And such a great one, too! Please don't worry about the storyline - it's intricate, not confusing, and it's good fun to keep track! And please don't worry about not having enough focus on Logan and Marie - it's exactly the right dose and it's wonderful to see them having a life and things just happening between them as life rolls them along. Much better, in fact, than a whole long chapter of PWP. Is my lone opinion.
And can I just say how completely irresponsible it is to send a kid on a mission without having her trained to assess a situation and how to respond to the one she found herself in? I mean, really. And Daken is beginning to get on my nerves big time. Why didn't Jubes paffinate HIM?

Pretty sure that should be measured in feet. I'm a bit rusty, but I think that 12,000 miles above Manhattan is outer space. Just saying.
Every other damn thing in this chapter is fecking awesome cakes. I want to hug and jump up and down with this one. I want to be that happy little squeeing girl in anticipation of your most excellent brand of espionage and beautiful dirty violence. It makes me way happier than it has any right to. Thank you.
