This is a great story. I know it's not a popular trope but I am a big fan of Logan does something bad and Rogue moves on and this is a great example. The way every one reacts is very believable and while I am not always a fan of them getting back together this scenario made it seem like they both grew and it worked. Thanks for writing such great stories.

Cliffhanger! Nooo! I can't wait to see what happens next. Jean really went off the deep end. I wonder if this will end in Marie having a miscarriage - I've been wondering how a Marie/Scott baby will fit into a Rogan future. Too suspenseful! I'll just wait and hope everyone will be alright.

Your wonderful writing has made me feel as if these are friends of mine that I miss so much!
I hope you're still writing and haven't abandoned this story. It must suck for Rogue to be pregnant for so long ;-) LOL

Author's Response: C'mon, though...haven't I made Logan enough of a bastard yet? :-) Really, though, I'm feeling kind of bad for him, too, especially after Chapter 11. He's just so DENSE about some things.

Now I definitely see why Scott and Rogue came together, and they fit very well. I would love for Logan to get a hint of what is going on between Scott and Rogue. This is excellent!
Author's Response: That was the thing that killed me when I wrote that first chapter oh so many years ago...literally, it was like eight or nine. I knew it was *good*. I didn't *want* it to be. I didn't want them to be! I think I may have gotten over my Scott/Rogue issues now, though, because it is becoming slightly less painful to write. Slightly. A little.

Okay, I'll admit I struggle with Rogue and Scott together. In fact, I struggle with any pairing except Rogan in the X-men world, to the extent it makes me flinch away from my laptop screen if Rogue or Logan are with anyone else! But let's all agree that admission only reflects Comic-cake's insane mind and I just have to deal with it! That aside, this is a lovely, melancholy and intriging piece of writing. And I will follow with my fingers and toes firmly crossed that this will end up Rogan...please...? :-)
Author's Response: The ONLY, and I mean only, way I can stand it is if Logan has really, really hurt Rogue, and Scott steps in to pick of the pieces, usually because Jean is the one who helped with the hurting or because she's dead (post X2 fics, mostly, with that).

Ok When Logan leaves Rogue for Jean and Rogue hooks up with Scott.... I have to admit, I like Rogue and Scott together almost as much as I like Rogan. So if you do end up doing this as a Scott Rogue fic I will be fine with it!

As a bi person myself ( I mean I swing to both Rogan and Scouge) this tickles my fancy. I would love to see how the tension and angst and tempers and passions flair between Logan, Rogue and Scott. And, I would love to see Jean get her butt kicked. Please continue this I'd love to see more. (holds a net up to protect you from any stray stones)
