wow, this story is AMAZING! great pacing allowing the tension to build and build with a little bit of conflict and action interspersed between introspective segments to allow Logan to process each event as it unfolds.
and gambit is a wonderfully complex, if intentionally mysterious, character in this.
fantastic! definitely adding this to my faves so i know when up update next!
Author's Response: Thank you for the comments on the pacing; as I've written elsewhere, my pacing tends toward the "as little as possible happens to move things forward, then people think about it" school of narrativity... haha. Thank you for your comment on Gambit, too; I'm happy you're enjoying his character.

Whew. This one just kind of grips you. I've gotta wonder if she's just using Gambit, or if she's using Logan, or what. Driving me just a tiny bit crazy.
Author's Response: Haha, thank you. I never know what to say in the comments when people wonder aloud what's happening! :) As a writer and a reader, I don't really ever care about "spoiling" plot points (since I'm only distantly acquainted with the notion of plot points anyway, haha), or having them "spoiled" for me, so I tend to just divulge details on what's going on, if I think it serves them better as readers. I'm trying to keep myself from doing it for this story, though. :) But thank you for reading!

I have been finding that Lady Gaga's Bad Romance is just the perfect soundtrack to this storyline, did this song inspire you?
Author's Response: Haha, not at all, sorry; although I'm quite interested in Lady Gaga as a performance artist, I don't listen to her songs that often. That said, after reading this comment, I just listened to the song--and yeah, I can see how it would be fun, too! (Though my favorite of hers is "Paparazzi.") But generally, I listen to the songs that inspired the chapter titles and are mentioned in the chapter notes; typically on repeat. So after the last chapter, I'm STILL listening to The Antlers' "Wake." Uplifting! ...not. ;)
