I just saw X-Men Days Of Future Past and needed a Rogan fix. I'll be slowly (work gets in the way) working my way through your stories again, which are fantastic and immediately come to mind when I think of Rogan. Yours are easily some of my top favorites. Thanks again for sharing these with us.

OMO! I'm in love with this fic! I love how you portrayed Marie's vulnerability AND strength, and Logan's before and afters were just yummy! Wonderfully characterized in all aspects, I think you did a marvelous job of bringing all the sides of these two people to live. Thank you for a wonderful story!

This is so amazingly well written, the characters were so spot on for me, even though it was an AU. Loved it!

Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked it, and that you thought the characters were spot on, even though they were so different in some ways from the movie version. Thanks so much for reviewing!

Who else would Logan trust...

Author's Response: Hi bima -- I'm so sorry for the delay in responding to your lovely reviews, I haven't set the site up to email me when someone reviews (it's fixed now) so I hadn't checked back on this story in awhile. Thanks so much for reviewing! And of course, Logan will innately trust Marie. It's destiny! ;-)

This is one of those fanfics which I have seen a lot of times but never read because normally I donīt read long fics until they are complete. (I hate it when itīs left uncomplete) So, when I saved it on my mobile phone two days ago I was excited about reading it.

I loved it! I couldnīt stop myself, I had to read it until the end. I must to tell you that I was walking around my city reading it, I read it on the train, while shopping, ... hell, I read it even in the bathroom. xD

You did a great job, and I loved the fact that FOR ONCE it was Rogue who took care of Logan and not the other way around. You make me bite my nails with all the angst, the love and the plot.

Thank you for such an amazing fanfic!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for such an amazing review! Yes, I've been burned way too many times by getting sucked into a work in progress and then realizing after the fact that it hasn't been updated since 2008! I'm so glad you liked it. Yes, at first I was worried that it was a little *too* much of Rogue taking care of Logan -- she was making all the decisions and kicking all the ass, and he was starting to look kind of passive, which is just not his character. That's partly why I threw in her reaction to Sabretooth, and I like how Logan takes care of Rogue not by defending her physically, but by doing things that are outside his comfort zone (talking about himself, trusting others, letting Xavier look into his mind, etc.). Thanks again for reviewing!

Hi doctorg! Just for clarification of my review, I meant on to *your* next story. Please, please write more! :)

Author's Response: Ha, thanks for clarifying, I totally did *not* get that...I thought you meant you were on to reading other stories. :-D

I am loving this. The way you wove Jason into the chapter I thought something might happen with him but I surely wasn't expecting that! I love the way you wrote Marie in this chapter - the avenging angel but she understands Logan's need for the kill and Logan finally understands the fierce will that lives within Marie. Now just don't kill them, yeah yeah I know they were both breathing but I won't rest assured until you get that next chapter up.

Author's Response: So glad you liked it -- especially that I was able to communicate Marie's strength and her understanding of Logan's need for personal retribution. I'll try to get the last chapter up this weekend.

Hallelujah for that one moment when Logan finally SAW her. And found her equal, saw her as one of his kind; saw her as tremendously strong. I loved that moment. I liked the gutting and all the rest. I enjoyed the comcast symmetry too. But mostly I loved that moment. I was tempted to quote Mister Mister there. But went with Hallelujah instead. (You're the one I had decided was one of my kind...)I likes it.

~Mia

Author's Response: I'm so glad I badgered you to be more specific, because that's my favorite part of the chapter too, but it was also the part I struggled the most to write. I swear I spent more time on that one paragraph than I did on the rest of the chapter combined. I kept adding, and deleting, and changing the wording. It's so good to know from your comments that it seemed to come across in the way I wanted it to. Thank you again for reviewing, Mia!

lol, not really. 'special logan' refers to his random ways of trying to protect marie. as in, "wow, you are sooooo short bus special if you think that doing this will protect her" special logan. as in, "at what juncture did you smoke crack?" Logan. My friend and I are always comeing up with L/M stories where he does something pretty damn strange to protect her

Author's Response: Ha, yeah, that's kinda what I meant by "dickhead Logan" too. Maybe just "Stubborn Ass Logan" covers it. :-D Thanks for reading!

Holy crap! I didn't see it coming either but I love that you threw that wrentch in the wheel! Marie is going to be furious but I think it was heartbreakingly sweet of him....sigh.

Author's Response: :-) Thanks so much for your review! It was the one that pushed me up into the Top Ten most reviewed stories list. I'm ridiculously excited about that. :-)

I really liked the first 5 chapters. You wrote them wonderfully, while reading I actually felt like I was right there- I give you kudos for the idea and the way you wrote it. Your Feral!logan was fantastic.

The thing is after the chapter "TheBeer" the whole fic made a big change. IMHO it stopped being an original attractive story to become a "common" Rogan fic. I find almost no link with the first part of the fic and well it just made me stop reading. Like you rushed Logans reaction towards Marie or the whole thing started to lose that sensitive thing of the previous chapters.

In a normal situation I wouldnt leave a review since I dont like giving negative reviews but I do it because I LOVED the first 5 chapters and you should know that.

Author's Response: Hi Annie; I really do appreciate your review. I know you're not the only one to feel this way about the story. In truth, the original idea I had for the story carried me through the first chapters, up to and including "The Beer." As I've said in responses to other reviewers (not that I expect you to read all that) at that point I really was in a bind. There was no legitimate reason I could think of for Logan to stick around with Marie, a virtual stranger, rather than just heading off back to his normal life once he regained coherence. I'm sure there's a perfect creative solution to that dilemma, but the closest I could come was to try to combine external threats that kept them on the run with the growth of his feelings for Marie, hoping that those two forces could render the connection they form plausible given the constricted time frame. I fully acknowledge that these later chapters have a different tone, and probably a more common one, especially the ones that are more action or PWP. But, there's no going back to Feral!Logan, so I'm resolving the story in the only way I know how. Maybe I should have just ended it at "The Beer," but I don't think that would have satisfied anyone. I am really glad you liked the first part, and am sorry you don't like the rest as much. I don't like it as much myself, but I'm still okay with it as a fun read, and I want to bring the story to as satisfying of an ending as I know how.

Woke up?! Are you kidding? I would never go to sleep in the first place. I'd use that healing factor until I killed myself from it. Pshht. Morning after.

Read these last two chapters at about six this morning, right before I had to leave for work. Jesusflippingpancakes, you're writing is brilliant. I love this. From the Sabertooth appearance to the smut to Logan's thoughts The Morning After. It's jaw-dropping. And personally, I think this story's pacing is wonderful. Nothing wrong. Far be it from "me" (note the quotation marks) to criticize because the plot is not going the way "I" (again, quotation marks) expected it to. Write what you like, it'll be terrific and fitting regardless.

>clears throat

Author's Response: So glad you're liking it! You're probably the only person I actually *would* change my plot for, so it's good to know that's not necessary. :-D

Well I can't work because I am disabled so I do have some 'creative' freedom to write as much as I want.
Oh I wish he would, but if they run out of iPads, I'll take a Wolverine wearing a Santa hat that I can unwrap and play with for X-Mas.

Linda.

Author's Response: :-) Hope you get your wish!

Its been frustrating for me living here in the middle of farm country without net or a computer. Thank god for my phone or I'd go crazy without the WRFA. I thought about writing the stories via Blackberry Storm but that's a headache I don't need. So I've been writing longhand and my chicken scratch sucks but I can read it.
But I've been saving up a huge folder of like 5O+ stories just waiting for hungry Rogan lovers.
So keep faith. At least I'm a fast typer. I don't hunt and peck on a keyboard.

Linda.

Author's Response: Eek. Hope Wolverine pops down your chimney in a Santa hat and leaves an iPad in your stocking... I sympathize. I can't loaf off at work, and I have a long train commute to entertain myself with a phone, but I only really get to the laptop late at night. I'm going to pick some weekend to review every chapter of every story that I've read...

Already written. Its called Ignorance Isn't Bliss. Its in my story folder for posting once I buy my laptop next month.

Author's Response: Tease! Maybe I'll have to dig up that old laptop I was threatening to send RoseSumner so she would update more frequently...

I think you are doing a great job with this story. It keeps me interested and flows well, without getting bogged down with too many unimportant details. I know as a writer constructive criticism is always necessary, but don't take what some of these other people say to heart...you're a terrific story teller with great direction and great vision.

I just want to say to the nit-pickers out there...come on this is fan fiction about movie characters who are mutants...lets suspend reality for just a moment and enjoy some fun and smutty goodness.

Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much for the support! Although I will admit my internet-feelings were hurt briefly, I recognize that there are good points in the negative reviews, and I definitely appreciate them. Anyone who cares enough about the story to click the review button is pretty awesome in my view, even if they just want to tell me I suck. But I will not turn down a positive review either! ;-) As for the nitpicks, I don't worry about those so much. Reading MRIs of the brain is well within my skill set, so I'm pretty confident I'm right about that one. They don't call me Dr. Girlfriend for nothing! ;-)

And I have to disagree with a previous reviewer...I think you have maintained a fantastic pace with Logan and Marie's relationship development! Sometimes bonds are formed very quickly under extreme circumstances and shared experiences. Plus, readers love to get to the juicy stuff! Keep up the great work!

Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much for the encouragement. It really helped fix up my day! ;-) I'm pretty new to fanfic, and it's harder to put stuff "out there" than I had expected. It's pretty easy to start to doubt the direction in which you're going, and a few kind words at the right time can sure mean a lot. Thanks so much for reading, and especially for reviewing!
